WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR
Not only will all your Conference favorites be back this year,
but we’re adding plenty of new events and activities.

Security Track
This new and emerging area includes a community of
people using their skills in technology and analytics to
change the world of security. There will be five security-
focused talks on Tuesday in Lone Star GH. These sessions
feature O.R. and analytics with a keen eye toward influencing
policymakers in the national defense and security space,
including state and local organizations. This track is the
first in a series of events culminating in the 2020 INFORMS
Conference on Security in Monterey, CA.

Poster Competition
The conference will hold its first competitive analytics
poster competition among practitioners and students.
Poster presentations will be scheduled in two sessions
held after lunch on Monday and Tuesday in the Exhibit
Hall. Certificates will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
on each day, in two separate tracks: 1) Students and 2)
Practitioners/Professors. On Tuesday afternoon, the Top
Student Poster and Top Practitioner/Professor Poster will
be announced in Room 213 at 4:40pm.

Analytics Hackathon
The Freestyle O.R. Supreme Data Hackathon event is
co-sponsored by Analytics2Go and the INFORMS Data
Mining Section. Teams were asked to design and deliver
an analytics solution with an open-source tool/software
component, and sell how this solution could be operable
and scalable to support the business problem and their
customers. Come listen to the finalists present their
solutions to the challenge question: What is the future
of autonomous mail/delivery services across North
America through 2030?

CODE OF CONDUCT
INFORMS expects attendees and exhibitors to respect
each other, INFORMS staff, and hotel staff, and to behave in
a courteous fashion. Attendees should adhere to common
sense rules for public behavior, personal interaction,
common courtesy, and respect for private property.
Abusive, harassing, or threatening behavior toward any
attendee, INFORMS staff, or hotel staff will not be tolerated.
When at the meeting, immediately report any incidents in
which you feel a meeting attendee is abusive, insulting,
intimidating, bothersome, or acting in an unsafe or illegal
manner to the INFORMS meeting registration desk.
