A computer is a device or machine, which can accept data, process data, produce output and store the results for future
use. Identify ONE (1) type of computer for each of the following descriptions.

a) It is a type of computer that is designed solely to play video games. Such as Microsoft Xbox, Sony Play station and
NitendoWii.
b) It is a type of computer that is designed so the system unit, input devices, output devices and any other devices that
fit entirely on or under a desk or table.
c) It is a type of mobile device that having a touch screen interface, Internet access and an operating system capable
of running downloaded apps.
d) It is a type of computer that is programmed to control dedicated functions within a large product such as air bag
system or anti lock braking system in an automobile.
e) It is a special type of computer that combines the features of a traditional notebook computer with the simplicity of
pencil and paper.
f) It is a type of computer that usually with limited processing power and used to perform specific tasks and contain
features uniquely designed for use in a particular industry. Such as information kiosk and POS in a shopping mall.
g) It is the fastest and powerful computer that is used to design aircraft model or complex mathematic formula.
h) It is a large size, expensive and powerful computer that is able to handle millions of connected users
simultaneously. Normally used in universities, banks and insurance companies.
i) TAR College E-Learning System (CeL) is an online system designed to enable teaching and learning through the use
of internet technologies. The computer that operates the CeL is able to support thousands of connected students at
the same time.
j) It is a type of mobile electronic device that is designed primarily for the purpose of reading digital e-books and
periodicals such as Amazon’s Kindle and Sony Reader.

For each of the following descriptions, give the accurate type of input devices or output devices.

(a) A type of input device that has a touch-sensitive panel on the screen. Users enter data by touching words or
numbers or locations identified on the screen.
(b) A type of printer that produces high quality text and graphics on plain paper. Its powered ink is called toner.
(c) A type of input device that use to record sound and saved as a sound file on the computer.

(e) A type of pen input captures the handwritten notes or drawing. It consists of build in internal capabilities and

(j) A type of optical reader that uses radio wave technology to communicate with a tag that attached to an object,
animal or person.
(k) A type of reader that reads the magnetic stripe on the back of credit cards, loyalty cards and other similar card.
(l) A type of reader that used almost exclusively by the banking industry for cheque processing.
(m) A type of output device with a touch-sensitive device, resembling a dry-erase board that displays the image on a
connected computer screen, usually via a projector.
