is obviously not a good sign when things were economically brighter a decade ago
than they are today.

Nonetheless, I do not believe that the government is the one that should be
primarily at the helm. The government was the one that caused the housing bubble,
the credit crisis, and now the looming tuition bubble, along with other disastrous
laws — economic, criminal and international alike — that have proven far deadlier
than when the government is not interfering.
