SECTION OF SOLIDS

1) A pentagonal prism of base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP with

its base such that one of its base edges perpendicular to VP. A section plane
inclined at 50° to HP cuts the solid and passing through the top of the axis .Draw
its projections and obtain the sectional top view and true sections.
2) A hexagonal prism of base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP with
its base such that one of its base edges parallel to VP. A section plane inclined at
40° to HP cuts the solid and bisects the axis .Draw the apparent and true sectional
views.
3) A cylinder of diameter 60 mm and height 70 mm is resting on HP with its base
such that its axis is perpendicular to HP and parallel to VP. A section plane
inclined at 40° to HP cuts the solid and bisects the axis .Draw the apparent and
true sectional views.
4) A pentagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP
with its base such that one of its base edges parallel to VP. A section plane
inclined at 30° to HP cuts the solid and it meets the axis at a distance 20 mm
above the base .Draw projections and obtain the sectional top view and true
sections.
5) A hexagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP with
its base such that one of its base edges inclined at 40° to VP. A section plane
inclined at 30° to HP cuts the solid and it meets the axis at a distance 25 mm
above the base .Draw projections and obtain the sectional top view and true
sections.
6) A cone of base diameter 60 mm and height 70 mm is resting on HP with its base
such that its axis is perpendicular to HP and parallel to VP. A section plane
inclined at 30° to HP cuts the solid and it meets the axis at a distance 35mm above
the base .Draw projections and obtain the sectional top view and true sections.

7) A cone of base diameter 60 mm and height 70 mm is resting on HP with its base

such that its axis is perpendicular to HP and parallel to VP. It is cut by a section
plane parallel to one of the end generators and 15 mm away from it .Draw
projections and obtain the sectional top view and true sections.
8) A pentagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP
with its base such that one of its base edges parallel to VP. A section plane
inclined at 30° to VP cuts the solid and it is passing at a distance 8 mm away from
axis .Draw projections and obtain the sectional front view and true sections.
9) A hexagonal pyramid of base side 30 mm and height 60 mm is resting on HP with
its base such that one of its base edges inclined at 40° to VP. A section plane
inclined at 30° to VP cuts the solid and it is passing at a distance 10 mm away
from axis .Draw projections and obtain the sectional front view and true sections.
10) A cone of base diameter 60 mm and height 70 mm is resting on HP with its base
such that its axis is perpendicular to HP and parallel to VP. A section plane
inclined at 30° to VP cuts the solid and it is passing at a distance 10 mm away
from axis .Draw projections and obtain the sectional front view and true sections.
