Composting is important and we should play a part to reduce household waste. It saves the
environment and provides rich fertiliser. I would begin composting by telling everyone in my family to
throw the kitchen waste into a compost bin. I will make a list of what we can and cannot throw in the
compost. When the bin is full, I will start another bin. The first bin will be ready for use as fertiliser in a
few months. We will have rich fertiliser that will make our plants beautiful and healthy. All the plastic,
glass and metal items will be separated and taken to the recycling centre. I hope all of you will help to save
our planet Earth by starting composting.
