Uraian Penggunaan/Definisi Tenses:

A1. Simple Present Tense untuk menyatakan fakta, kebiasaan, dan kejadian yang
terjadi/sering/berulang kali
A2.Present Continuous tense untuk membicarakan aksi yang sedang berlangsung sekarang
atau rencana dimasa depan
A3.Present Perfect tense digunakan untuk mengungkapkan suatu aktivitas atau situasi yang
telah dimulai di masa lalu dan telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu tertentu di masa lalu atau
masih berlanjut (ada relevansi dg sekarang)
A4.Present Perfect Continuous tense untuk mengungkapkan aksi yang telah selesai pada suatu
titik dimasa lampau atau aksi telah dimulai di masa lalu dan terus berlanjut sampai sekarang.
Biasanya aksi tersebut ada durasi waktu tertentu dan ada relevansinya dengan kondisi sekarang
B1. Simple Past tense untuk menunjukkan bahwa suatu kejadian terjadi di masa lampau
B2. Past Continuous tense digunakan untuk mengungkapkan bahwa suatu aksi sedang terjadi
pada waktu tertentu di masa lampau.
B3. Past perfect tense untuk menyatakan bahwa suatu aksi telah selesai pada suatu titik di
masa lalu sebelum aksi lainnya terjadi.
B4. Past Perfect Continuous tense digunakan untuk mengungkapkan suatu aksi (dengan durasi
waktu tertentu) telah selesai pada suatu titik waktu tertentu dimasa lalu.
C1. Simple Future tense untuk menyatakan bahwa suatu aksi terjadi dimasa depan,
secara spontan atau terencana.
C2. Future Continuous tense untuk mengungkapkan aksi yang akan sedang terjadi pada waktu
tertentu di masa depan
C3. Future Perfect tense untuk mengungkapkan bahwa suatu aktivitas akan sudah selesai pada
suatu titik waktu di masa depan.
C4. Future Perfect Continuous tense untuk mengungkapkan bahwa suatu aksi akan sudah
berlangsung selama sekian lama pada titik waktu tertentu di masa depan
D1. Past Future Tense untuk menyatakan suatu aksi yang akan dilakukan, membuat prediksi,
dan membuat janji di masa depan pada saat berada dimasa lalu.
D2. Past Future Continuous tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja untuk menyatakan aksi atau
situasi imajiner yang sedang berlangsung apabila unreal condition-nya terpenuhi (present
continuous conditional ~ conditional sentence type 2 dengan continuous tense).
D3. Past Future Perfect tense untuk membicarakan suatu aksi yang tidak terjadi di masa lalu
(conditional sentence type 3).
D4. Past Future Perfect Continuous tense adalah suatu bentuk kata kerja untuk menyatakan
suatu aksi atau situasi imajiner sedang berlangsung pada titik tertentu atau selama periode
tertentu di masa lampau (perfect continuous conditional ~ conditional type 3 dengan
continuous)

Very often students mix the usage of verbal sentences and nominal sentences such as errors below:
She is not agree with you Sir…..I am have dog at home. I am like dog very much , if you are not
understand I am explain it to you, I like fried rice but I am not like porridge... I am like hunting pigs
by using dogs in the forest because I am like dog so much. ...he he he..

Subject + Be + Complement
(Noun, Adjective, Adverb of Place/Time)

Dalam kalimat nominal hanya ada 3 bentuk complement, yakni Noun, Adjective, dan Adv. P/T

A3. Nominal in Present Perfect Tense

S + have/ has + Be3 + Noun He has been a teacher since 1976
