I am brining to your attention a very interesting phenomenon which
occ urs in GAVI GANGADESHARAWARA TEMPLE (Cave Temple) one of the
Sign up oldest temple in BANGALORE CITY about 400 years ago.

On every Makara Sankranthi day (14th Jan every year), the Sun’s rays
fall on the SHIVA LINGAM (Deity of the temple) which is inside a c ave.
This is observed around 17.15 hrs every year.

The Sun’s position on 14th Jan at 5.30 hrs I.S.T. for various years is
given below : ( Lahiri’s Ephemeris)

Can we achieve Jan is marked as dotted lines, which is less than the maximum declination
prosperity by the of the Sun. This shows that the sunlight should fall into the temple

Apart from this event taking place in Bangalore, there is another temple

THIS PHENOMENON DOES NOT OCCUR ON THEORY OF THE PRECESSION

OF EQUINOXES.

The ancient Hindu Astronomic al Treatise “SURYA SIDDHANTHA” states in

chapter III V- 11, 12 about Liberation (Rev EBENEZER BURGESS
TRANSLATION).

V 11: The circle, as thus corrected, accords with its observed placed at
the solstic e (ayana) and at either equinox; It has moved eastwards,
when the longitude of the Sun, as obtained by calculation, is less than
that derived from the shadow.

V 12: By the number of degrees of difference, then, turning back, it has

moved westwards by the amount of difference, when the calculated
longitude is greater ….

Rev Burgess States : “But our interpretation is shown to be c orrect one

by the direction given in Verse 11 & 12, whic h teac h that when the
Sun’s calc ulated longitude – which is its distance from the initial point of
the fixed sphere – is less than that derived from the shadow – whic h is
his distanc e from the equinox – the circle has moved eastwards, and the
contrary; it is evident, then that the initial point of sphere is regarded as
the movable point, and the equinox as the fixed one”.

Keeping in view the observations at the temple and the above
interpretation,
IF MAY NOT BE WRONG TO CONSIDER THAT THE EQUINOX AS A FIXED
POINT AND THE SOLSTICE (AYANA) AS MOVABLE.
Hence Liberation should be of the Earth’s orbit and as suggested by the
Surya Siddhantha, at a uniform rate per year.

The general theory of precession of equinoxes could possibly be THEORY

OF RELATIVITY???????
