Highlighting Contributions to the Body of Nursing Knowledge
The Florida Nurses Association is proud to promote the practice
of Nursing Research and the work of all levels of nurse researchers.
Participation in our annual conference is growing and our goal is to create a
forum where experienced researchers can serve as role models and mentors,
and potential and novice researchers can hone their skills and received
m entoring and support from their more seasoned colleagues.
This interactive conference continues to evolve and we invite you to
become a part of it growth and development. We are fortunate to have

Interest Group and our Florida Nurses Foundation Trustees who are integral
in the success of this conference. Our goal is to provide a non-threatening,
environm ent for researchers to interact, educate, learn and grow.
We also encourage interested novice nurses to attend this conference
as an introduction to nursing research so that they can have first-hand
knowledge of how research and evidence-based inquiry can m ake a
difference to nursing practice and patient care.
We look forward to seeing returning attendees as well as many new faces

showcasing colleagues conducting nursing research. You are invited to
subm it abstracts for the 4th A nnual Nursing Research and Evidence-
Based Practice Conference scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Leu
Gardens in Orlando, FL. Abstracts can be subm itted for podium or
poster presentations.
The purpose of this conference is to promote com m unication and
dissem ination of perform ance im provem ent projects and nursing
research that is being conducted in diverse academic, clinical, and/or
com m unity settings throughout Florida.
Abstracts w ill be peer reviewed by members of the FNA Nursing
Research Special Interest Group.
