CONTENT STANDARD 3.1 Reproduction and growth in human
LEARNINGSTANDARD Students can :
3.1.5: Give examples of features that are inherited by the offsprings from their parents or
ancestors such as skin colour, iris color and hair colour.
3.1.6: Explain observations about groeth and heredity using sketches, ICT, written or verbal form.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD PL 5: Conclude that the growth of the individuals of the same age is different.
PL6: Communicate creatively and innovatively to predict the features inherited by the offspring
that can be seen in their parents.
SUCCESS CRITERIA Able to state the process in human growth correctly
TEACHING ACTIVITIES &
HAND TOOLS (PdPc) Teachers shows slideshows about characteristics inherited by children from parents. Students
asked to attach their picture on a drawing paper. They are asked to observe and record the
characteristics inherited by them from parents. They will record the feature in the form of a table
to differentiate the inherited characteristics.

Individual discussions about characteristics inherited by children from parents in terms of:
• hair type, skin color, iris color
