DAY 1

8:30 – 9:00 – PRELIMINARIES

9:00 – 12:00 – SWOT ANALYSIS – Lecture using powerpoint presentation

This module aims to explain the meaning of SWOT which will lead the participants to
make an analysis of their organization’s present status and foresee their
opportunities and be able to engage in new business endeavour.
12:00 – 1:00 PM - LUNCH
1:00 – 3:00 - WORKSHOP –PREPARATION OF SWOT
This module will lead the participants to prepare a SWOT Analysis of their organization
which will be useful in their action planning and business planning.
3:00 – 3:15 – BREAK
3:15 – 5:00 - WORKSHOP – Continuation / Presentation & Critiquing
The participants will be required to present their SWOT (Output) by coop/association
and the facilitator, DAR personnel and other participants will do the critiquing.

DAY 2
8:00 – 8:15 – Invocation & RECAP
8:15 – 10:00 – ACTION PLAN-Lecture using Powerpoint presentation
This module aims to explain the basics of action plan its purpose and importance in the
organization’s operations and engagement in a new business venture.
10:00 -10:15 – BREAK
10:15 – 12:00 – WORKSHOP – PREPARATION OF ACTION PLAN
The participants will be grouped by coop/association and will be tasked to prepare a
detailed action plan on a provided an action plan format in relation to their new
business venture.
12:00 – 1:00PM – LUNCH BREAK
1:00 – 3:00 - PRESENTATION OF ACTION PLAN & CRITIQUING
Presentation and critiquing of action plans.
3:00 – 3:15 – BREAK
3:15 – 5:00 – BUSINESS PLANNING-Lecture using Powerpoint presentation
This module will give the participants a better understanding of what is business
planning that will lead them to be able to prepare a business plan acceptable by
banks in their search for additional working capital for their new business venture.
DAY 3
8:00 – 8:15 – Invocation & RECAP

8:15 – 10:00 – BUSINESS PLANNING- WORKSHOP

The participants will be guided in preparing a business plan using the provided
format.
10:00 -10:15 – BREAK

10:15 – 12:00 – BUSINESS PLANNING- WORKSHOP Continuation

12:00 – 1:00PM – LUNCH BREAK

1:00 – 3:00 - PRESENTATION OF BUSINESS PLAN & CRITIQUING

The participants will be required to present their output and the resource person,
DAR personnel and the other participants will do the critiquing.
3:00 – 3:15 – BREAK

3:15 – 4:30 – PRESENTATION OF BUSINESS PLAN & CRITIQUING

4:30 – 5:00 – Closing Ceremonies
