CHAPTER I

Introduction

Nowadays we suffer from global warning, flash flood and etc. one the causes
of these problem is the misbehavior of the people toward waste management. Some
people are reckless in throwing their garbage. They do not think of the possible
result of their action to the environment as well as on health.

Garbage, trash, rubbish or refuse are waste material that are discarded by
human, usually due to a perceived lack of utility. The dreams of smelly garbage can
also mean you are feeling rather adverse at the moment. If suggest that you are after
wrong assumptions.

Garbage pollution mean littering civic waste particularly household waste into
places not designated to disposed it of. It is mainly caused by management of solid
waste when garbage is not lifted from street and areas to carry it to landfill sites for
its final disposal.

To be able to avoid mismanagement of solid waste everyone should have the


idea of seducing and reusing and recycling garbage. Reduce is to make something
smaller are useless, resulting in a smaller amount of waste, is reducing waste before
you purchase it, or by purchasing product that are not wasteful in their packaging or
use, reduction is conservation – using natural resources wisely and using less than
usual in order to avoid waste.

Reuse is the action or practice of using something again weather for its
original purpose or to fulfill a different. It should be distinguished from recycling which
is breaking down of used item to make raw material for the manufacture of new
product.

Recycling is the process of converting waste materials and object. It is an
alternative to conventional waste disposal that can save material and help lower
greenhouse gas emission. Recycling can prevent the waste of potentially useful
material and reduce the consumption of fresh saw materials there by reducing
energy usage, air pollution and water pollution.

To reduce , reuse, recycle of the garbage at school, the student should to the
ff.

 Separate all the garbage according to their kind and were they belong.
 Throw the garbage properly
 Put it in the right trash can.

Perspective of the Researcher

The researcher are the student of Diplahan National High School student
taking up a General Academic Strand ( GAS ).

The researcher are interested to help a student to minimized the spreading of


the garbage or waste.

The researcher also encourage an of the student to help each other to


maintain cleanliness of the school.

Statement of the Problem

The study aim to assess and survey of proper waste disposal of student within
the Diplahan National School, Diplahan , Zamboaga Sibugay. Further this study aims
to answer the following question.

1. What is the impact effect of proper waste disposal to the student?


2. How can affect the proper waste disposal to the student?
3. It can help to the student to learn a lot?
4. What are the good impact of proper waste disposal that can help to the
student to learn more.
5. How can affect the proper waste disposal of a student

Hypothesis

The hypothesis of this study is to minimize the spreading of the garbage or


waste.

1.There is a significant difference of reduce, recycle of trash using the proper waste
disposal in accordance to soled waste management program.

Significance of the study

This study is very useful references for any researcher or problem in relation
to the Senior High School student k-12 program toward their proper waste disposal
in accordance to solid waste management program.

In the Diplahan National High School this study will give knowledge to the
Senior High School student to carry out and monitor to proper waste of the student
further, this will help to be feel confident and to be treated equal especially to those
needy student.

The proper waste disposal management program will be an precise reflection


of a school discipline standard because in any school, the teacher can tell you that it
is critical to function the school without a disciplined without the discipline in the
student lesson or the knowledge that the student learn is useless.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

This study primarily focus to determine the significance and factor of reduce,
reuse, recycle of trash standing a proper waste disposal in accordance to solid waste
management program within the Dipahan National High School namely Grade 12-A
and B for the S.Y. 2019-2020.

The researcher limit the study due to time management. In view of limitation
there are maximum of 100 total number from Senior High School . Diplahan National
High School. The respondent move chosen purposively in order to determined and
establish the needed data in the research study in proper waste disposal of trash.

Definition of terms

This section present definition of term use in this study, these terminologies
help guide reader to understand in relation to reduce, reuse, recycle of trash toward
the cleanliness and good attraction of the school or a student.

Cleanliness -refer to tending to keep clean free from pollution or other dangerous
substances and free from dirt, mark.

Good attraction- refer to something interesting or enjoyable that people want to visit ,
see or do.

Skill- refer to the ability of every learner in use one’s knowledge effectively and
readily in execution or performance.

Maximize-refer to the maximum value of every learner who are reduce, reuse,
recycle their trash .

Chapter 2

Review of Related Literature

This chapter contains the gathered literature, related studies from different
sources, theoretical framework, conceptual frame work, statement of the hypothesis,
and operational definition of terms, These where use as the guides and supports the
variable and indicators of the research study.

The concept of reduce, reuse, recycle of trash is to examine the role of school
discipline in achieving an academic performance. The author can prove that the
student that has know how to throw the trash properly have a better discipline.

The intensity of proper waste disposal of trash is reduce some garbage that
would not reuse again. Proper waste disposal of trash is help is to avoid diseases
that we get from air and other diseases that causes dirt environment or a waste
place.

The accordance to solid waste management are the way to become our
school as a fresh school, because it is help us to prevent disease and we can
inviolate a fresh air from the environment.

Research Methodology

This describes the research methodology employ by the researcher which


includes the research design , research environment, research subject, sampling
techniques, preparation of materials, data gathering techniques, statistical treatment.

Research Design

This section present the descriptive design of the study employ by the
researchers. Further, below are explanations, distinctions and manifestations of the
reduce, reuse, recycle of trash towards proper waste disposal in accordance to solid
waste management program.

The research represent the descriptive research design will be employed in


this study. This type of descriptive research was design to describe causes
interpretation or process of phenomena. Through this method of research it is
possible to describe certain factors and relevance on the reduce, reuse, recycle of
trash towards proper disposal in accordance to solid waste management program.
Every learner using survey questionnaire and to provide manifestations on certain
questionnaire retrieved from the respondents.

Research Environment

This study was conducted in the selected strand with in the Diplahan National High
School such as grade 12 GAS A at situated at Pobalcion Diplahan, Zamboanga
Sibugay. It is more or less 1 kilometer away from the bus terminal of the municipality
of Diplahan.

The analysis of the study show clustering purposive procedure is done in one
strand within the Diplahan National High school in relation to the reduce, reuse,
recycle of trash; towards proper waste disposal in accordance to solid waste
management program.

Research subject

This study the respondents of one strand of Diplahan National High school will
be selected namely; GAS A with 20 respondent for the S.Y 2019-2020.
Moreover,one strand selected as identified locales implementing reduce, reuse,
recycle of trash towards proper waste disposal in accordance to solid waste
management program.

Sampling techniques

Researcher made survey checklist questionnaire is used in the study. The


survey checklist questionnaire identify the reduce, reuse, recycle of trash towards
proper waste disposal in accordance to solid waste management program. Lastly
the level of responsibility of the students development and the perception of
conducting reduce, reuse, recycle of trash.

Research instrument

Researcher use a questionnaire and survey to identify and others some


information from the students.

This section provides the sequences and procedure on how the data being
gathered from initial to final through the interpretation and analysis of data.

The researcher use checklist questionnaire in order to give analysis and


interpretation on what appropriate methods to be used and how to process of data
collection are done. Therefore the checklist questionnaire below, Show how the date
gathering procedure is done in order to generate and called the needed data in
relation to the reduce, reuse, recycle of trash; towards proper waste disposal in
accordance to solid waste management program.

The checklist questionnaire was done as part of the data gathering procedure.
Further before the validation procedure the letter id carefully made and logically-
analyze by the researchers before the constructions begun the survey questionnaire
will be use in order to determine the significance on.

Statistical Treatment

To gather the appropriate data in order to answer the questions in the


statement of the problem, different statistical measure of the data employ in this
study in order to present, analyze, summarize and interpret the gathered data.

Presentation , Analysis and Interpretation of Data

This section presents the presentation, analysis and interpretation of data in


relation to the proper waste disposal in accordance to solid waste management
program.

Question 1. Do feel confidence of students can be gained when school is clean.


There are 10 survey questionnaire initiated with 20 respondent of whom in GAS A.
there are 8 respondent who answered strongly agree, 11 respondent who answered
agree. There 0 respondent who strongly disagree, 1 respondent to answered
disagree.

Question 2. A clean school can affect the academic performance of student. There
are 2 respondent who answered strongly agree, 14 respondents who answered
agree, one respondent who answered strongly disagree, there are 3 respondent who
answered dis agree.

Question 3. Proper waste disposal system is a way clean environment , 10


respondents who answered strongly agree, 10 respondents who answered agree, 0
respondent of strongly disagree and disagree.

Question 4.A clean school affect the display of a student. 6 respondents who
answered strongly agree, 12 respondents who answered agree, 0 respondent of
strongly disagree and disagree.

Question 5 A clean school can produce a better student. 6 respondents who

Among the 20 survey questionnaire in 20 respondents specify GAS-A we


discovered that question No. 10 is resulting a high impact who answered agree in
the statement “ reduce, reuse, recycle trash. A way to improve student’s behavior of
Diplahan National high School, Senior its towards proper waste disposal in
accordance to solid waste management program.

Chapter 5

Summary , Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations

This section present the summary, findings, conclusions and


recommendations in a relation to the reduce, reuse,, recycle of trash towards
proper waste in accordance to solid waste management program of every learner
initiated by the Diplahan national high school. Base on the information or data
gathered from the respondents, the researchers themselves came up the following;

Summary

The study was conducted at the Diplahan national high school Grade 12
GAS-A that have twenty ( 20 ) respondents assessed their perceptions on the
reduce, reuse, recycle of trash attended to the level of sufficiency on the proper
waste disposal in accordance to solid waste management program..

Base on the higher of information or data gathered , statement number ten


(10 ) have a higher result in a column of agree, there are fourteen (14) respondents
implies that the reduce, reuse, recycle of trash was very effective or important.

Findings

From the data gathered and statement of the problems in the previous part,
the researchers came up the summary of findings as presented and explained
below:

The grade 12 GAS A initiated by the Diplahan national high school with twenty
( 20 ) respondents.

On other hand , the perceptions of the students in the reduce, reuse,, recycle
of trash , the respondents agreed that it can help to improve students behavior of
Diplahan National High School, Senior High School towards proper waste disposal in
accordance to solid waste management program.

Conclusions.

Based on the summary , findings and tough data analysis the researchers
came up the following conclusions.

1. The proper waste disposal management program is the best ways to improve
students behavior of Diplahan National High School Senior High School.

2. The reduce, reuse, recycle of trash is very effective and important.

3. The confidential status of a learner will increase because of the proper waste
disposal management program analysis.

4. The skill and development will increase because of the proper waste disposal
management program.

Recommendations

Based on the summary and findings of this study researcher implicate the
following:

1. The researchers recommend the proper segregation of touch towards cleanliness


and good attraction of the school for these student think about topic for their
research project.

2. The researchers also recommend a group of cleaners towards cleanliness and


neatness of the school for the those students think about a good topic for their
project.
