By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-


OBJECTIVE 1. Pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and
intonation.

1. Ask pupils to name stories about occupation they have heard before.
2. Explain group/in pairs task to the pupils.
3. Pupils listen to the story read by teacher and complete simple task in TB.
4. Ask questions to encourage pupils to think critically and creatively.
ACTIVITIES 5. Talk about the story. Ask questions.
6. Get pupils to form groups. Each group is given word cards. Pupils rearrange the
cards to form a complete question.
7. Each group reads out their completed question. The other groups answer the
questons.

OBJECTIVE 1. Demonstrate understanding of variety of linear and non-linear texts in the form
of print and non-print materials using a range of strategies to construct
meaning.
1. Introduce a picture of characters and guide pupils to talk about it.
2. Introduce new or difficult words in the story. Guide pupils to locate the words
and their meaning in the dictionary.
ACTIVITIES 3. Pupils read a passage from the story in TB page 14.
4. By using the passage given they have to answer comprehension questions.
5. Ask pupils to work in pairs to pick a moral values from the story and write about
it.
