To
Whom
It
May
Concern,
I
am
a
kindergarten
teacher
at
Smith
Elementary
in
Burlington,
North
Carolina
and
I
am
writing
to
recommend
Lauren
Caturano
for
a
teaching
position
in
your
school
district.
Ms.
Caturano
completed
her
Math
and
Science
Internship
as
well
as
her
student
teaching
experience
under
my
supervision.
Her
responsible,
hard-‐working
personality
made
this
experience
a
very
positive
one
for
us
all.
During
her
time
in
my
classroom
she
has
been
responsible
for
planning
lessons
in
which
she
constructed
using
the
Common
Core
Kindergarten
Curriculum.
She
spent
countless
hours
researching
the
best
way
to
make
certain
the
students
understood
the
objectives
she
expected
them
to
master.
She
is
aware
of
diversity
in
the
classroom
and
differentiated
her
lessons
to
ensure
that
all
children
were
successful.
Her
use
of
technology
within
the
lessons
helped
the
students
become
more
globally
connected
with
the
world
in
which
they
live.
Ms.
Caturano
has
many
strengths;
but
her
main
strength,
from
my
observation,
is
her
ability
to
motivate
students.
She
is
always
interested
in
their
progress
and
presented
new
material
in
a
way
that
captured
their
attention.
Her
concern
for
each
individual
student
is
evident.
Ms.
Caturano
worked
extremely
well
with
colleagues
and
administration.
She
was
highly
motivated
to
learn
as
much
as
she
could
and
perform
to
the
best
of
her
abilities.
She
asked
for
feedback
on
a
daily
basis
and
accepted
constructive
criticism
with
maturity.
Ms.
Caturano
collaborated
with
our
Speech-‐Language
therapist
to
create
a
plan
for
a
student
who
had
not
qualified
for
services
but
was
in
need
of
additional
instruction
with
articulation.
She
also
created
a
behavior
plan
for
our
students
in
our
class
that
was
easily
understood
by
students,
parents
and
teachers.
Ms.
Caturano
displayed
the
qualities
that
make
a
teacher
successful.
She
is
dependable,
motivated
and
in
tune
with
the
needs
of
her
students.
I
can
say
with
confidence
that
you
will
be
pleased
with
Lauren
Caturano
as
a
member
of
your
staff
and
touching
the
lives
of
the
students
in
your
school.
If
you
have
further
questions,
please
feel
free
to
contact
me
at

Sincerely,
Monica
