1 ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
INTRODUCTION
This study is intended to establish a definition of gamification that can be
generally accepted, explain the popularity of the concept in terms of those
elements that support effective learning and make a case that those of us
that have been involved with simulation are long time gamifiers.

1 ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
Follow this format with at least 20 literature that cuts across foreign local, and related literature.
The study assesses the interaction between religion of perceived news source and religion of reader.
The same article was seen to be biased in favor of Muslims, when attributed to Muslim newspaper. In
favor of Christians when attributed to a Christian newspaper, and intermediate when the newspaper
was identified.
Perceptions of “hostile” media bias occurred mostly with individuals identified strongly with their
religion. When people have prior beliefs that media are biased against them, they interpret media
against those beliefs. (Aryanto & Ainarina 2007, 226-279)
METHOD: Experimental design. Muslims and Christians in Indonesia read an article describing
interreligious conflict. The article was the same for all readers but was identified coming from a Muslim
newspaper, a Christian Newspaper, and an unidentified newspaper.
Counter Discourse
This study has an interesting and unique design of having people of a specific religion respond to article
supposedly written by people of other religions. Measure perceptions rather than media content; and
it’s an experimental design. The objective measure of editorial bias must be established.
This literature clarifies how perceptions play in understanding the news. Agenda set by newspaper
outfits must also be considered.
