Artifact 3: Student Teaching Lesson Plan

I have included a lesson plan from my student teaching because it demonstrates my
understanding of curricular content knowledge. This lesson plan involves a lesson that took
place in class on 2/11. This lesson was after students finished the movie Othello. The lesson was
made to see if students understood the language of Shakespeare as well as characters, and plot
of the story. The learning objectives provide what the students should be accomplishing and
learning throughout the section.
Planning as a special educator is critical because a well-organized class will make the
class flow easily so students do not get lost. This lesson plan helped me run the class because it
was broken down in to time sections. I found it very easy to stick to what content knowledge
was needed for this activity. Setting timers helped me get through the lesson easy because it
made me focus on what important curricular content knowledge needed to get taught.
