Artifact 2: What you need to know about IEP/504

I have included the powerpoint What you need to know about IEP/504 to demonstrate
my understanding of learning environments. This powerpoint involves the different steps as
well as main points to understand IEPs and 504s. IEPs and 504s provide our students the least
restrictive learning environment so students have the best chance at success. I included this
artifact because it demonstrates my ability to provide the least restrictive learning environment
for our students.
As special educators we must know how to write and read IEPs and 504s. This allows the
school district to provide the services needed as well as the least restrictive learning
environment. This is important because we want our students to succeed in everything they do
if it is in the classroom or outside the classroom.
