Well A penetrates a sequence of permeable water bearing sands. Five RFT pressure measurements were
taken resulting in the following data:
Plot the above formation pressure data versus depth, and calculate the formation pressure gradient for each
zone tested. Secondly, which zones are wet, and which of the formations are at hydrostatic pressure?

RFT data (3145 psia @ 6000 ft) and well logging data define the presence of a gas bearing formations. A gas
density of 0.25 g/cm3, which corresponds to a gas gradient of 0.11 psi/ft, can be assumed from other wells in
the area.
Determine the depth of the deepest possible gas/water contact in this reservoir.
