Background of the Organization

Madina Trading Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd.is the Mother concern Of Madina Group and its Set out
its journey in the year of 1978 with the name Madina Trading Corporation.At the initial stage
it's business was confined to marketing cement locally after purchasing from importers. After
years of successful business, the company began importing cement from Indonesia, China, South
Korea and other countries.

Madina Group, a leading private sector business conglomerates in the country. It has become a
well-known name in the business arena of the country. The group has been a significant to the
national exchequer. It provides the exchequer with more than tk. 100 crore per annum. The
group's turnover has been increasing every year. In 1999 its total turnover stood at about tk. 600
crore.

Madina group is decentralized, diversified group of industries with side spread activities across
the country. It has its values, honesty, integrity, commitment to customers and the nation as a
whole that Madina industries find very necessary for materializing the group's objectives.
Madina group also recognizes that maintaining the trust and confidence of employees,
customers, and other people with whom it does business as well as the community in which it
work are vital for its continued growth and success.

In 1987 Madina Trading Corporation was incorporated as a private limited company with the
name Madina Trading Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd. Presently, it's share in the total cement inflow into
the country is about 40% while its domestic cement market share stands at about 60%.Madina
Trading Corporation employed a total of 250 people at its different stages of work. The company
is looking forward to meeting to the ever-changing demands of its valued customers in a better
way in the new millennium.
