(4) OmniPCX Enterprise PC Installer tool

•Copy “dhs3mgr” release folder to hard drive ‘C’. It must have three sub folders i-e (i)
h1301 (ii) h130126 and (iii) h130126a
•Double click “OmniPCX Enterprise PC Installer” icon to open it. After this apply
following settings in “OmniPCX Enterprise PC Installer” tool

•Installation type=> Linux + Call handling
•Call server type => Appliance Server (See figures below)
•Call handling g version => h1301
•Country => pk (yours country)
•Installation type => Standard
•Network type => Direct cable
•Network interface => 172.26.66.27
172 26 66 27 (This IP address will be automatically detected by
“OmniPCX Enterprise PC Installer” tool from your PC LAN card.) After all above
settings click on Apply button to validate settings.

Configuration of Named Pipe TCP Proxy

Double click “Named Pipe TCP Proxy” to open it, Configure different parameters as given below.

¾ Declare port as “567” in port text box.
¾ Describe any name for Named Pipe TCP Proxy e-g Connect terminal to telnet via VMware comm port.
¾ Click “Add” button to apply settings.
¾ Note many pipe name can be assigned but pipe name and port must be different from each other e-g “\\
\\. \pipe\com_2
\pipe\com 2”
Port “568”, “\\. \pipe\com_3” its port “569”…….so on.

Warning: Do not exit this application.

In my case I used “Secure CRT” terminal emulation software, this is a top most, state of the art

Configuration of VMware workstation 8.0

I will recommend “VMware workstation 8.0”. This is latest Virtual machine emulation software,
It is user friendly. I will not recommend “Virtual box” or any third party Virtual machine
emulation softwares, because other did not boot up from “pxe” environment due to their
internal errors and bugs. Other thing I will say that I used “Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8, RAM 1GB,
120GB host PC Hard disk, Active LAN connection and minimum partition for OXE R9.0 8GB
(Maximum 40GB) to install Complete Linux + Call handling software. See below to configure
VMware workstation 8.0

The VMware will boot up from “pxe” via OmniPCX PC installer tool , and
will show follow messages on screen.

Note: after above messages, VMware will not show any text on its screen
in case of “Appliance

connect any terminal emulation software. Wait for installation until

Password : mtcl (Default password for mtcl user account)
Via FTP client software (total commander) transfer the ops File to
/usr4/BACKUP/OPS (only OPS files)

Use “swinst” tool to restore OPS from CPU disk.

Message “Wrong CPU-id” because CPU ID of OPS
and CPU ID of VMware are not same. After 30 Days you
should reinstall Release on Appliance Server CPU.
