CUPERTINO
– Meg Whitman, Republican nominee for Governor, today announced the leaders of
her African Americans for Meg Coalition. These leaders are working with Meg to get her message
out to voters across the state.

"I am grateful for the support of these African American community leaders," said Whitman. "In
the final stretch of the campaign, I am counting on their help to engage and empower more
Californians. It's going to take all of us to move this state in a new direction."

"Meg Whitman wants to chart a new course for California and I appreciate that she is encouraging
everyone to get involved," said Acquanetta Warren, Mayor Pro Tem, City of Fontana. "She has a
plan that offers solutions to what we care about most. She will restore the economy by creating
jobs, make government more accountable and fix our schools so every child has an opportunity for
a better life."

The African Americans for Meg Coalition is one of 15 coalitions organized by the Whitman
Campaign. For more information on Meg's coalitions and how to join, go to
