Creating a Lesson and Teaching

Your task is to create a lesson and teach a class of elementary school

children. You must choose a topic or book, and come up with an activity

to go with it. You will be assigned an age group/class to teach. Please be

sure to make your lesson and activities age appropriate. Below you will

find your required lesson topic, grade level, list of key required elements

and samples.

Key Elements:

Lesson Plan 50 points

- Write a lesson plan and turn it in to the teacher prior to teaching.
- See sample lesson plan attached.

Visual aids, handouts, etc. 25 points

- You must have one type of visual aid that you have created.

Lesson Evaluation 50 points

- Attached is an evaluation form. You should give this form to the teacher
prior to teaching so that he/she can evaluate your lesson.

Lesson Reflection 25 points

- After teaching you must write a one page reflection telling how your
lesson went.
