MBA CET 2019:- DTE Maharashtra is closing MBA CET 2019 Registration on February 15, 2019. The application form
is available online at the official website, mahacet.org. Candidates applying before the last date will get the
MAH MBA CET 2019 Admit Card on March 01, 2019. The upcoming MBA CET 2019 exam date is March 9 and 10, 2019.
State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, conducts MAH MBA & MMS CET in online mode. It is a state
level examination, through which candidates get seats in management courses, offered by the B-schools in

The admission to the B-schools in Maharashtra takes place on the basis of MBA CET 2019 and the counseling
round. Candidates can also apply via CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ CMAT scores. Such candidates have to
participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

MBA CET 2019 Exam Date


MBA CET examination conducts the entrance exam in a two-day window on Saturday and Sunday of March
2019. Candidates have to appear in the allotted time session and exam centre only. There is no provision to
change the same.

MBA CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria


Applicants applying for MBA CET 2019 must fulfill basic eligibility criteria to appear for the exam. Failing to meet
the eligibility leads to the disqualification of candidature. Below we have mentioned the details of eligibility
criteria laid down by DTE, Maharashtra for MAH CET 2019. Let’s have a look:

Qualification – Applicant must have completed at least 3 years of Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Also, candidates in the final year Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply.
University – The University must be recognized by the University Grants Commission or
Association of Indian Universities.
Reservation – Candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying
education. However, 5% relaxation is there for candidates belonging to the backward class
categories or PWD category.

Reservation for SEBC Category

This year, Maharashtra government is in view that Maratha Community is Socially and Educationally backward.
So, special provision has been given to them for their advancement. The fees for such students are less and
they have to produce the proof of their reserved category during the counselling rounds.

7 Steps to Fill MBA CET 2019 Application Form


Candidates have to fill the MBA CET 2019 application form as follows.

1. Registration
It is the first step to apply for MAH CET 2019. So, candidates must make a fresh registration using the link
available on the website, mahacet.org. It is necessary to provide valid email id and phone number to receive
any intimation by DTE.

After the details submission, note down the MBA CET 2019 registration number and password generated during
the process. From there, students can either continue to fill the form or log in later to complete the application.

2. Login for Online Application Form

Candidates who wish to appear for the MBA CET 2019 need to fill online application form using the login
credentials. After the registration process, an applicant can continue with MBA CET application form filling. It
includes four steps that need to be completed before the last date.

Candidates can fill the form in multiple sessions but in sequence only. In order to successfully complete the
application process candidates have to to pay the fee as decided by DTE, Maharashtra.

3. Document Uploading

Every applicant needs to upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature in the specified format and
size only. Failing of which, a form is considered incomplete. Candidates must make sure that upload the
documents in their respective fields only. Caste certificates need to be submitted during the counselling
process.

4. Basic Details

After the uploading of documents, candidates have to process to fill the caste, category, educational and other
personal details. Aspirants seeking reservation must fill the category details correctly. Make sure that you have
proofs for the same. In the educational details, you need to enter graduation details only.

5. Preview and Declaration

Candidates can preview all the details and sign the declaration. In case there are errors, then change the same
at this stage. Once the declaration is signed, the MBA CET 2019 Form is not editable.

6. Application Fee

Candidate needs to make the payment for MAH CET 2019 to complete the application process. You must pay

the fee via online using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, Cash Cards, IMPS, or Mobile Wallets. No other
mode of payment for MBA CET is acceptable. Once the fee is paid it is non-refundable and non-transferable.

7. Download Form and Fee Receipt

After a successful payment, you get a fee e-receipt. Candidate must download the filled MAH CET 2019
application form along with fee receipt. Take a print out of it for future use.

What is the Difference Between MBA CET and CAT?
Many of our readers were asking us to explain the difference between Maharashtra CET and CAT.

Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test takes place for admission in the colleges of Maharashtra state only.
Candidates who appear for it and qualify the exam by scoring minimum cut off are considered for the
admission in state colleges only. The exam takes place yearly in a two-day window.

On the other hand, the Common Admission Test (CAT) is an online test which conducts across India. An
applicant who scores minimum cut off is eligible for admission in all CAT participating colleges and other
institutes across India. Many colleges all over India accept CAT score for admission in MBA programs.

MBA CET 2019 Selection Process


To get admission in MBA programme in the Maharashtra state, the following selection procedure follows.

1. Application Form – It is the first step to become eligible for admission in the selection process. So,
it is advisable that you fill the MAH CET 2019 Application Form in time.
2. Entrance Examination – Next step is to appear for MBA CET 2019 exam.
3. Result – The result announces in PDF format containing the total score and percentile.
4. Centralized Admission Process (CAP) – According to the order of merit, the counseling takes
place to allocate seats in the college of Maharashtra.
5. Final Admission – Once the seat is allocated, you can take the final admission according to the
procedure prescribed by the institutes.

MBA CET 2019 Exam Pattern


It is important that you are well aware of the exam pattern of MBA CET 2019. Once you know it, you can manage
your time accordingly. MBA CET 2019 is a computer-based test consisting of 200 Multiple Choice Questions with
a time limit of 150 minutes.

MBA CET 2019 Preparation


The preparation of MBA CET 2019 can be easily done with other exams. The basics are mathematics and English.
Questions are not so much difficult to attempt. You just need to prepare yourself to attempt the maximum
number of questions in the minimum time.

Logical and Abstract Reasoning

This section consists of questions which measure candidates’ agility and accuracy. Diagrams, puzzles, verbal
reasoning are some of the questions in this section. With continuous practice, candidates can easily score
good marks in this section.

Quantitative Ability

This section test students’ quantitative reasoning and ability to work with numbers. Practice arithmetic
problems involving ratio and proportions, percentage etc. This section will also test the interpretation of tables,
common graphs, charts, and quantitative reasoning. The questions Solving CAT/ XAT/ IIFT level questions will
help to crack this section without any difficulty.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension


This section has an equal dose of questions from verbal ability and reading comprehension. Working on the
vocabulary, grammar, sentence completion, antonyms, synonyms, and reading speed helps to clear this
section easily. English ability tests the understanding of the passage, choice of appropriate words, phrases,
expression, and similar language skills.

What are the 2 Important Things to Crack MBA CET?


Time Management

The MAH CET 2019 consists of 200 questions. So, you have merely 1.33 minutes for each question. Thus, it is
necessary for you to manage your time well in the exam. For this, you can attempt English section which takes
the maximum of 20 minutes.

Similarly, keep 80 minutes for Maths and 50 minutes for logical and abstract reasoning. Moreover, this planning
goes correctly only if you prepare like this beforehand. So, while taking mock tests, divide the time like this.

MockTest & Practise

For the preparation of MBA CET, it is important that you practice well. This can come only when you practice
enough number of mock tests according to the exam pattern. Moreover, taking mocks will boost your
confidence to give your best in the exam.

Candidates appearing for MAH CET 2019 can take the idea of the test from the official mock test paper released
by the exam conducting body.

MBA CET 2019 Admit Card


All the candidates who have successfully filled the MBA CET 2019 application form receive online hall ticket in
the fourth week of February 2019. Students get the intimation for the same on their registered email-id and
number. Candidate can download MAH CET 2019 hall ticket after clicking the link on the official website.
Candidates have to enter the login credentials ie. Registration Number/ Roll Number and Password/ Date of
Birth. After downloading the same, candidates must paste passport size photograph on the space provided for
it.

Keep this hall ticket safe to take it on MBA CET entrance exam day. If a candidate is unable to produce it on the
exam day, then they will not get the entry to give the test. The exam takes place in 36 and 13 cities in
Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra respectively. After the conduction of the exam, the MBA CET Result
announces in the form of scorecard cum rank card.

Candidate must ensure that they strictly follow the test timings and venue. If a candidate fails to appear on
the exam day, he/ she will not be allowed to appear for the exam in any other session.

Documents Required during for MBA CET exam

While appearing for the MAH CET 2019 candidate must carry all the valid and original documents and other
important things as required. Below is the checklist which you must not forget before going for the test.
Candidates must have the same name on admit card and identity proof.
Importantly, candidates who have changed their name have to produce original marriage certificate/ Gazette
notification/ affidavit.

Reporting Time

Candidates must reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Any
latecomers are not allowed inside the exam hall. Also, candidates may have to stay at test premises for a total
of 4 hours although the exam is for 150 minutes. The total time includes verification, logging in etc.

MBA CET 2019 Test Centre


The exam for MBA CET 2019 takes place in selected cities in Maharashtra and also in some cities outside
Maharashtra. Candidates get the exam city according to preferences filled in the registration form. Though the
final decision is taken by exam conducting body only.

Important points to note regarding MBA CET 2019 Test Centre

Exam conducting body allots venues on the basis of candidates strength in the particular centre.
The body will not consider any requests for the change in centre/ venue/ session.
The body reserves the right to add or cancel any particular centre.

MBA CET 2019 Result


All the applicants who have appeared for MBA CET 2019 can check the result from the official site of DTE,
Maharashtra. In order to check the result, candidates are required to click the direct link present on the Result
page. Thereafter, they need to enter MAH CET 2019 login validation details which are Registration Number/ Roll
Number and Password/ Date of Birth. An applicant can check MBA CET 2019 Result and download it for future
reference.

Importantly, DTE releases the result after the normalization process using the standardized equi-percentile
method. Once Result is out, candidates can apply to various colleges for admission in MBA programme at the
official site. A merit list releases individually by state colleges declaring eligible candidates who may get the
admission in the college stated.

MBA CET 2019 Reservation Policy


According to the DTE notification, 85% of government and MBA/MMS aided institutes will take admission via MBA
CET. Similarly, 65% of seats in private colleges are reserved for admission via MBA CET Exam 2019. Also, 15% of
total seats are there for all India Quota via other national level exams CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA.

MAH MBA CET 2019 Centralized Admission Process(CAP)


Once the result is available, the CAP round will start online at the official website of DTE Maharashtra. For the
MBA CET 2019 CAP process candidates have to log in with the specified time period. After that counseling round
will commence on the basis of merit, colleges selected by the students, number of seats available etc.
Aspirants will have the option for seat locking and freezing.

In case a candidate does not want a particular seat, then he/she can wait for the next round of MAH CET 2019
counseling process. The whole process for counseling is online. So, in order to check the cut off list, rank list, seat

For admission in these colleges, you have to register for counselling round. On the basis of cut off and rank, you will able to
take admission in colleges accepting MBA CET scores.
