World war 2 was a war that happened in 1939 and ended in 1945. It was a war
between the allied powers which were the United States and the Soviet Union against
the axis powers which were Germany, Italy and Japan. World War 2 had a negative
impact on the United States because the countries did not want to be equal with their
allies, and innocent people’s lives were lost from the attacks.
World War 2 had a negative impact in the United States becasue they did not
want to be equal with their allies. In document 5 it says “soviets closed all highways to
berlin. The purpose was to gain control of the entire city.” The soviets wanted control
over every part of berlin not just a portion creating a negative impact because this would
cause tension between their allies and a fight could break out between them.
Families and loved ones were lost due to the bombings and attacks on Japan
creating a negative impact of World War 2. In document 3 it states”World War 2 calls to
mind the deaths of families and acquaintances on distant battle fields, systematic
bombings of their city.” The japanese regret bombing the United States and other
countries becasue now they realized what they have lost due to the attacks. This shows
a negative impact because Japan had regrets on their attacks.
To conclude, World War 2 had a negative impact on the United States becasue
innocent people were lost, and countries did not want to be equal with their allies which
caused some tension.

The Civil Rights Movement was a movement that occurred during the 1950’s and
60’s. It was a way for the african americans to show that they want equal rights under
the government. The Civil Rights Movement had a positive impact on the United States
because the color barrier was broken in sports and transportation became equal.
The Civil Rights Movement had a positive impact becasue the color barrier was
broken. In document 1 it says “They break color barriers, culture, race and religion.” The
color barrier in sports was broken and still is to this day. People from all over the world
and every race come to play baseball. In other words, a positive impact is shown
because it encouraged other African Americans to play not only play sports but the
follow their dreams in what they want to do.
The Civil Rights Movement had a positive effect becasue transportation became
equal. In document 2 it says “separate car act was unconstitutional if applied to trains
running out side of Louisiana.” Trains and other sorts of transportation became equal for
people of all color becasue of the 14th amendment. Therefore, a positive impact is
shown because people are taking a stand and want the same treatment as whites do.
In conclusion, The civil rights movement had a positive impact on the United
States becasue the color barrier was broken and transportation became legal for people
of colors.
