Last Day to apply for May Degree: February 22 ,


2019—Application for Degree Candidates for
graduation are expected to file an application
for graduation online in the MY.LIU.EDU student
portal. Alternatively, a paper application can be
submitted at the Office of Enrollment Services.

Conferral of May degrees: May 17, 2019

*Submission Of NYS Teacher Recommendation:


June 28, 2019

1.The edTPA is not a graduation require-


ment. We strongly recommend that you take
and pass all exams required for Initial
Certification before graduation BECAUSE ac-
cording to the State Department of Education,
your Trans B license becomes invalid upon grad-
uation.

2.In order for candidates to be recommended


for an Initial Teacher Certificate the following
examinations must be completed:

*Recommendations for all MSE May 2019 graduates
will be entered into TEACH no later than June 28,
2019- When the recommendation for the Initial cer-
tificate is entered into TEACH, the Transitional B cer-
tificate will expire back to the graduation date of the
program. It is highly recommended that you complete
all NYS teacher certification examinations prior to
graduation.

It is recommended that all tests for certification are


completed by graduation. Transitional B certificates
expire, June 28, 2019 and initial certification cannot
be issued until all certification exams are completed.

summer. Be prepared to take clas-
ses until mid- August.

Little by little I’ve been building up the
database on liufellows.weebly.com/
database!
Articles and resources I find are now
split up into categories. This is very new
so not every category has a sizable
collection yet, but it’s growing and I
wanted to share it with you!
