PROCESSES
VANI ARLIANI, MT
DEFINITION
Project management : is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and
techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements.
The application of knowledge requires the effective management of
appropriate processes.

A process : a set of interrelated actions & activities performed to achieve a

pre-specified product, result or services.
Each process characterized by inputs, tools & techniques  EEF & OPA
MAKE A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT
1. Select appropriate processes required to meet the project objectives
2. Use a defined approach that can be adopted to meet requirements
3. Comply with requirements to meet stakeholder needs & expectation
4. Balance the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources & risk to
produce the specified product
RELATION PROJECT PROCESS-PROJECT LIFE CYCLE
The integrative nature of the project management requires the Monitoring &
Controlling Process Group to Interact with the other process group.
Since management of the project is a finite effort, the Initiating Process Group begins
the project, and the Closing Process Groups ends it.
PROJECT PROCESSES

• The project management • Product oriented processes
processes are presented as are typically defined by the
discrete elements with well product life cycle and vary
defined interfaces by application area.
• The application of the project • The scope of the project
management processes are cannot be defined without
iterative, and many processes are some basic understanding
repeated during the project of how to create the
