Beneri SpA , located in Valmadrera (LC), Italy, is a

world leader in the manufacture of standard DIN
retaining rings, toothed washers and safety washers,
and is now involved in the manufacture of standard
inch-range retaining rings for the market require-
ments of the USA.
Thanks to recent investments in new manufacturing
tooling and equipment, Beneri is proud to announce
that its range of retaining rings is fully available and
ready for delivery, and the range exactly corresponds
to USA inch standards, both in terms of sizing and
material used (spring and martensitic steel).

Metric DIN & Inch Systems
More detailed attention is required for inch-size re-
taining rings manufactured from trapezoidal wire. On
the basis of our experience in the standard applica-
tion of retaining rings (over 20 million pieces daily
produced and sold successfully to distributors, OEMs
and automotive companies worldwide), we have
invested in special tooling and equipment, which
provide the ideal mix between the metric DIN and
inch systems. In very simple terms, we would like to
draw the attention of end user Engineers, explain-
ing that all basic dimensions such as diameter and
thickness correspond exactly to American inch sizing.
Other sizes such as Smax (maximum Section) as well
as H (lug height) are exactly proportioned to holes
dimensions (R).
This choice is at the manufacturer’s discretion as
declared in the DIN specification, and the systems
are designed from a synthesis of the DIN European
Specification and Beneri’s know-how and activities
in ISO meetings between 1976 and 1985 concerning
the development of the ISO International standard
