The Naughty Little Ant

One day, there was a little ant saw the little spider playing in the water. Then, he
remembers the saying of his mother, “Son, don’t ever think of going into the water because it
may harm you.” So he left.

On the other day, he saw again the little spider playing. He forgets about what his mother
says. He went to the water and then the danger happen. The little ant drowning, “Help! Help!
Somebody please help me!” when the little ant is drowning his mother save him by throwing a
twig and save him from drowning.

The little ant was saving from dying. The little ant hugs his mother, crying and saying
sorry for what he has done. After that incident the little ant learns a lesson, he also listens to his
mother and they live happily ever after.

I.Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

a. predict the next thing that will happen on the story;


b. create a short story on their own;
c. Relate the story in real life.

c. Materials: Storybook and pictures

III. Procedure

a. Daily Routine

-The teacher will call one pupil to do a prayer after the prayer the teacher will greet the
pupils and the teacher will check the attendance.

b. Motivation

-The teacher will show the picture based on their story telling on their discussion. The
teacher will instruct the pupils to raise their hands to call their names to name the picture
that they have seen.

- The teacher will ask the pupils "Based on the picture that you have seen. Who will be
the character on our story for today?"

c. Discussion

-The teacher will do a story telling entitled “The Naughty Little ant” While the teacher
telling the story she/he will ask the pupils to predict what is the next scene on the story.

• What do you think will happen if the little ant goes to the water?

• Do you think the little ant will go to the water?

• Is there anyone will save the life of the little ant based on our story?
d. Application

-The teacher will divide the pupils into 2 groups.

Group 1: Write the main characters of the story and tell the role of those characters in the
story.

Group 2: Make a Short Story and write the beginning, middle and end of a story.

e. Generalization
- The pupils will recall what they did on the whole discussion.

V. Assignment

- The teacher will post the assignment on the white board.

- “If you are the author of the story entitled "Naughty Little Ant", is there specific scene
that you will change. What it will be and write your own story to change it.
