1. Roll a die 30 times. Starting at the bottom, shade in one box on the graph above the
number each time you roll it. In a sentence, explain what you predict the graph to look

3. With a partner roll 2 dice and add the numbers rolled together. What is the smallest sum
you could roll? What is the largest sum you could roll? At the bottom of the table fill in
the possible numbers you could roll from least to greatest.

4. Roll 2 die and find their sum. Repeat this 30 times. Starting from the bottom, shade in
the box on the graph above the number you roll. In a sentence, explain what you predict
the graph to look like.

5. Did your graph look like you expected? If yes, explain why it looks this way. If no,
explain why your graph does not look like you expected.

6. You and a friend are playing a game where you roll 2 dice and find their sum. You each
choose a number and receive a point every time the sum of the 2 dice is your number.
Explain in a sentence what would be a good number to choose and what would be a bad
number to choose.
