Leadership Excellence in Analytics, Data Science and IT
The Gartner LEADIT Rotational Development (LEADIT RD) program provides a unique
opportunity for a small number of highly talented individuals to gain exposure to our
analytical, data science and software engineering teams over the course of two to four
years. LEADIT RDs rotate through assignments as part of these teams, gaining exposure
to some of Gartner’s most important business opportunities through analytics and
technology. Through challenging rotations, LEADIT RDs will develop well-rounded skills
and an understanding of the interdependencies between different service areas, while
gaining exposure to advanced analytics, data science initiatives, data engineering and
software engineering functions. LEADIT RDs also have access to several senior business
leaders from diverse and varied backgrounds, who will be invested in the growth and
development of the LEADIT RDs. As a result, LEADIT RDs have the opportunity to
develop a network of contacts and relationships throughout the organization.
About this role:
You’ll be successful in the LEADIT Rotational Development role if you are an analytical
thinker with a desire for personal development and growth into a leadership role within a
few years. You have a passion for learning and applying advanced data algorithms,
mathematical concepts and leveraging technology to scale up solutions. You apply facts
and logic to solve tough analytical problems, work well in teams and communicate clearly
and effectively. Upon successful completion of this program, associates have the
opportunity to join Gartner after demonstrating a solid understanding of the organization
and the roles and industries we serve, as well as problem solving and leadership skills.
What you’ll do:
 Apply Natural Language Processing to improve our ability to synthesize unstructured
information and predictive modelling to develop intelligence to recommend the “Next
Best Action” for the client
 Surface actionable insights from large volumes of data by leveraging statistical
concepts; automating wherever possible to allow for scale
 Use Machine Learning to develop self-correcting algorithms to improve our
recommendations for Services teams to increase client retention
 Work with the product owner to define product roadmap, build systems and tools,
and actively review development priorities in collaboration with engineering, and
business teams to deliver measurable impact.
 Build pipelines and scalable data models to allow for consolidation of large data sets
and perform analysis
 Design, implement unit, integration testing and build web-based applications and
services
 Communicate to business & service leaders recommended actions based on findings
 Relevant degree in Computer Science Engineerig /Electrical Engineering/
Electronics Engineering / Applied Mathematics and Business Analytics
 Practical, intuitive problem solver with an ability to translate quantitative analysis into
actionable business strategies
 Exposure to programming languages (e.g., Python), machine learning tools (e.g.,
scikit-learn), statistical packages (e.g., Scipy), SQL/relational databases (e.g.,
Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, graph database), Linux and shell
scripting
 Excellent critical thinking, analytics, and communications skills
