~AFFIDAVIT~

I, SHYREL PALAGANAS, 52 years old, married and

resident of Brgy. Uli, Dasol, Pangasinan and after having been
duly sworn to in accordance with law hereby deposes and
states.

1. That on June 6, 2018 I was with Dody Mejala he being

my husband and we live under one roof;

2. That I woke up at around 5:00 a.m. and I woke Dody

Mejala at almost same time as we are supposed to wash
our clothes early;

3. That Dody Mejala then woke up and we had coffee while

we were watching the T.V “Unang Hirit”;

4. After we finished consuming our cup of coffee, we went

out to our neighbor who is his niece, Mariedel De Leon,
and we borrowed her washing machine;

5. We then washed the clothes and we finished at around

9:00 a.m.;

6. That Dody Mejala was with me the whole time from 5

a.m. to 9 a.m. of that day June 6, 2018, thus it is
physically impossible for my husband to have gone to
Sitio Sergio, Brgy. Concordia, Burgos Pangasinan on
June 6, 2018 at 5:30 A.M.

7. That I have conducted personal investigation as to the

person of John Lloyd Aquino, who is claiming to have
seen my husband at the scene when Santiago Abella was
shot, surprisingly, I found out that said person is a
fictitious person as he is not known to by the tricycle
drivers in Alaminos City. That further inquiry revealed
that no such person exists in nor was a resident of Brgy.
Palamis, Alaminos City;

8. That further investigation revealed that said John Lloyd

is police asset, in fact the executed an affidavit in another
case in San Carlos City where he used the name Jhon

 Lloyd Dizon y Aquino but retained his signature; Copy of
said affidavit is attached as Annex “1”;

9. That the case being imputed to my husband is very

serious one where he is being deprived of posting bail,
although God knows he is innocent he may not in jail
pending the find determination of his acquittal by the
courts; The sad part is that he may languish in jail for
years by reason of the deliberate falsehood concocted by
a fictitious person hiding in the name “JOHN LLOYD
AQUINO y DIZON.”

10. The prosecution should not allow itself to become part

of this falsehood. The resolving prosecutor would be
haunted by this lies should be choose to believe it, but
the same could be prevented if the resolving prosecutor
would exercise prudence by requiring said John Lloyd
Aquino y Dizon to present proof of his identity such as (1)
Birth Certificate (2) Marriage Contract (3) Driver’s License
(4) Police Clearance (5) NBI Clearance (6) City Permit to
Drive tricycle in Alaminos City (7) Barangay Clearance.

11. That my husband is suffering in jail without benefit of

bail by reason of deliberate falsehood, I beg the Provincial
Prosecutor to protect innocent persons from falsehood
leading to persecution of innocent persons.
