• The AGO rings in the new year with a First Thursdays
evening celebration of interactive art. Artist Dan
Bergeron works with guests to create an art mural,
and a paint-by-numbers artmaking station teaches
visitors how to paint a landscape like the Canadian
masters.

• Free After Three programming in the Weston


Family Learning Centre features stop-motion
animation, skateboard-building and breakdancing
workshops, drawing youth from around the city for
free after-school activities.

• Patti Smith: Camera Solo, organized by the

artist, musician and poet Patti Smith’s visual art in

identified in the AGO’s 2012 – 2013 audited financial statements.

4. The AGO records capital asset purchases at cost and then amortizes its capital assets over the useful life of the asset. Donations and grants received for the purchase of
capital assets are deferred and then amortized based on the useful life of the asset.
