Caution: Make sure to turn off the generator when moving any component and make sure to place any
removed component back into its original location (it doesn’t require locking the component).
Otherwise, there will be exposure of radiation.

Caution: Movement of the LXDA may cause misalignment of the image.

• Shift the generator base towards one side; see the difference between the original location and
the new location. If the signal is lower, shift the generator base towards the other side. Place
the generator base at the position with most signals in the diode plot.

• Lose the screws from the inner funnel. Rotate the inner funnel towards one side; and check the
signal.
If the signal increases towards one side of the diode plot and the other side drops,
which means that more signals are going through the side where signal increased.
If the signal drops a along the diode plot, that means that there is no signal going
through.
• If the diode plot didn’t reach the expected signal, removed the inner funnel from the generator
and shift the collimator bars towards the side of higher signal. Caution: Do not turn on x-rays
when the inner funnel and the cover are not present in the machine.

• The last solution is to open the gap between the collimator bars from 2mm to 3mm. Doing this
will cause an increase in the dose per pass and lower the wire sensitivity; however, it will
improve the penetration.
