Students will be working both individually and
collaboratively to create an online “poster” with
the app Buncee to describe the lives and
accomplishments of the first five presidents of the
United States. This lesson is a follow-up to build on
their knowledge of the presidents from previous
lessons.
5. Students will use the classroom set of
iPads, or their own mobile device, and
download the applications for Buncee
(Students will have a ‘student account on
Buncee created for them).
6. Once the students have collected
information from each other with the
mural collaboration, they will go onto the
Buncee app and create their individual
“poster” on their president.
5th Grade

Students will be working collaboratively to create
an online idea map with the app MURAL to
describe the lives and accomplishments of the first
five presidents of the United States. This lesson is a
follow-up to build on their knowledge of the
presidents from previous lessons.
1. Each child will be given one of the 5 first
presidents of the United States to “become
an expert on” (the presidents will be given
at random).
2. Students will use the classroom set of
iPads, or their own mobile device, and
download the application MURAL.
3. Students will create a free trial on the
MURAL app, and one student from each
president group will open their first mural
 7. Finally, when students have completed
their Buncee, they will select a group with 5
students who have been assigned the other
4 presidents and share their Buncee with
the group as a mini review lesson.

4. Students will then collaborate using the
MURAL app and post their favorite facts
about the accomplishments of their
assigned president to their group mural.

populated mural.
