WCHP Rulebook

Section 1 - Teams

1.0 A team shall have a maximum of 10 players.


! 1.0.1 A team must constitute of 4 forwards, 2 defencemen, 1 goaltender and 3 Injured Reserve players (1F, 1D, 1G)
! 1.0.2 A team must have a minimum of 1 rookie on their team.
! 1.0.3 A rookie is defined as a player entering his first or second season having played less than 25 games in the
! ! NHL.
! 1.0.4 The Injured Reserve players can only play if a player on the regular squad is injured. Once the player
! ! recovers then they must switch back.
1.1 There will be no trading or waiving players throughout the season.
1.2 A rookie may not start on the IR.
1.3 Any team that does not follow the criteria listed above will not be registered.
1.4 The Team Manager shall be responsible for switching the IR players (both applying the IR and removing the IR) by
! informing the commissioner.
! 1.4.1 A team will be given seven (7) days grace to remove a player from IR when they are off the IR according to
! ! Yahoo! Sports.
! 1.4.2 Failure to do so will result in a loss of the total accumulated points by the IR player. The Commissioner will
! ! also provide additional discipline if he chooses so.

Section 2 - Draft

2.0 There will be two (2) drafts every season. One for the Regular Season and one for the Playoffs.
2.1 The format for the draft will be snake style.
2.2 The commissioner must give teams one week prior notice from the draft date.
2.3 Teams that are not present at the draft may submit a ranked unlimited list of players to draft from.
2.4 The draft order will be determined at random using a software that randomized the order.
2.5 Live results of the draft will be found on Google Spreadsheets.
2.6 Teams have 2 minutes to make their pick. The time starts when the commissioner says so.
2.7 Teams have a 5 minutes grace period after the draft order has been announced.
2.8 There will be an Add/Drop period of 7 days following the draft. Teams can submit swap requests to the commissioner
! as long as it follows the team format in 1.0.
! 2.8.1 Teams get one swap per pick.

Section 3 - Season

3.0 There is no injury reserve for a player that gets injured during the season.
! 3.0.1 The only exception is an injury to a goaltender.

Section 4 - Playoffs

4.0 Teams may only select players who have qualified for playoffs with their respective teams.
! 4.0.1 The rookie rule in 1.0.2 does not apply in playoffs.
4.1 When an NHL team gets eliminated from the playoffs all their players are eliminated as well.

Section 5 - Statistics

5.0 In the regular season the following statistics and values will be used to calculate points.
Players
! Goal - 1 point
! Assist - 1 point
Goaltenders
Win - 3 points
Shutout - 2 point
Goal - 1 point
Assist - 1 point
Section 6 - Bonuses

6.0 Teams may submit a list of both Eastern and Western conference teams on how they think will finish at the end of the
! season (1-15 for each). Five (5) points will be awarded for each correct guess.
