ONE CHILD ONE LIGHT

Efforts are being made to fulfill the ambition of providing one solar lamp to every child. During
sabbatical leave (2012) a pilot project 21000 solar lamps have been provided to as many
students through Localization of Solar Energy model in which solar lamps are assembled by local
people, used by local people and repaired by local people (www.ocol.edupark.org). Currently
same project is extended for providing light to 1 Million students (www.millionsoul.iitb.ac.in),
with the objective to extend it for 100 Million students.
