• Draw an outline of the map of Spain on the board. Elicit from the pupils the names of the different climatic
areas of Spain and ask volunteers to write them in the correct places on the map.
• Ask the pupils to complete the chart about the different climates.
• Ask the class to explain the difference between climate and weather.
• Finally, ask them individually to write definitions of the words climate and weather on their worksheets.

• Organise the pupils into pairs and ensure that they don’t show their partner their worksheet.
• Ask the pupils to describe their weather forecast to their partner who must draw it on the map at
the bottom of their worksheet.
• When both pupils have had a turn describing, ask them to compare their maps.
