Inquiry Question:
Students are encouraged to discover and be curious about the world around them. How do people’s choices and actions affect the
beaches around Geraldton, and how can we encourage people to use environments for recreation/leisure and care for them more
sustainably?
Purpose of the Field Trip:
The purpose of the field trip is to explore two of the local beaches that are used by the community for leisure/recreation and to collect,
identify and record the man-made products that may wash up on the shores. Students will collect data based on the items that they find
and use it to create a brochure through the use of different mediums, to encourage people to be more actively involved in the
community and keep our beaches clean, and free from waste, and our marine animals safe.
