Experience

I started my teaching career at CRPF Public School, Delhi (teaching Mathematics to classes

IX - XII from July 2001 till date i.e. more than 17 years). Presently, I am the Head of Mathematics

Department and teaching classes XI and XII.

1. Involved in preparation of marking scheme for CBSE class XII Mathematics question paper

held at S. D. Public School, Pitam Pura consecutively for six years (2011 to 2016).

2. Invited as a member of Expert Group for quick overview of the question paper of class XII

Mathematics at CBSE from 2014-2016.

3. Involved in the ‘Development of Textbook in Mathematics at Secondary Stage (class IX) –

A four days programme from 24th -27th November, 2005, organized by DESM, NCERT.

4. Involved in a five days program entitled ‘Development of Textbook in Mathematics for

Class VII’ from 10th-14th August, 2006, organized by DESM, NCERT.

5. Worked as a resource person for development of NCERT Exemplar problems in

Mathematics of class VI from 15-19 December, 2008.

6. Extended my suggestions for improving NCERT textbooks of Mathematics for classes VI-

XII.

7. Participated in a workshop for Identification of concepts and creation of concept maps for

National Repository of Open Educational Resources (NROER) from 13-15 June, 2013

conducted by Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET).

8. Was invited as a resource person in Second National Maths Symposium , a workshop for

the teachers and the students conducted by AVAS in lieu of celebrating National Math Day,

22nd December, 2013. I was honored by Dr. Kiran Bedi on this occasion for contribution in

the field of education.

9. Was invited at Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), University of Delhi as a panelist on

18 September, 2013 to discuss the critical issues in school Mathematics education.

10. Organised Mathematics Teacher Meet on 16th October, 2016 where about 60 Mathematics

teachers participated. It was a meet organized without any support from any association or

organization.

 11. Worked as a volunteer in an initiative "Hum Se Poocho" by Hindustan Times to help and

guide students perform better in their CBSE class XII Mathematics Examination. I have

been a part of this initiative consecutively for six years (2011 to 2016).

12. Encouraging students to participate in various Mathematics Olympiads. Many of my

students have been selected in various Olympiads. One of the student of class VI qualified

in first round of prestigious Asia Pacific Math Olympiad and she had been invited to

Singapore for the final round.

13. Initiated Intra School Mathematics Olympiad for my School Students (classes III to XII).

The Olympiad has been conducted successfully consecutively for seven years since 2010 to

2016. It has become a unique feature of the school. The main objectives of this Olympiad

are to arouse students’ interest and enthusiasm for mathematical problem solving, develop

mathematical intuition, reasoning and logical thinking, as well as creative and critical

thinking. From session 2017, planning to organise Inter School Mathematics Olympiad also.

14. Involved as a resource person at Bal Bharti Training Center, Pitam Pura from 2011-2016

for sessions on “Professional Development in teaching Mathematics” for all the teachers of

all BBPS schools in Delhi and NCR.

15. As a coordinator of classes XI and XII, I am involved in planning and implementation of

various strategies.

16. Taking classes for those students who are preparing for NTSE/JSTSE and similar exams.

17. Organized ‘Summer Camp’ in the School for many years, which gives an opportunity to

students to nurture their talent.
