Concept Notes:

Philippine literature includes the legend of the prehistory, and the colonial legacy of the
Philippines. Pre-Hispanic were actually epics passed on from generation to generation originally through
oral tradition. Filipinos are known for being creative and imaginative. We have different folktales, folklores
and proverbs that we must be proud of. As Filipinos, we should acquaint ourselves with our Philippine
literature.
