Activities:
1. Teacher introduces the topic.
2. Teacher tells the story. Ask pupils to listen to
her and talk about the characters in the story.
Stress on the words that begin with ‘s’, ‘t’, ‘p’
and ‘a’. Draw the pupils attention to give
respond talk about the pictures.(e.g: Timmy the
tiger, Patty the parrot, Sammy the snail).

3. Sing together : Teacher uses the word cards to
introduce the greetings and asks them to say
aloud. Teacher guides the pupils to listen to,
say aloud and sing the song: ‘Greeting Song’.
(Tune: Happy Birthday).
4. Enrichment: Trace and copy the greetings on
page 11 (AB).

3. Teacher guides the pupils to chant together.
Focus on the words sat, tap, pat. Segment the
words.
