Course Description The Course will focus on the theories and concepts of business ethics, corporate social responsibility and
environmental management - their importance and relevance in the workplace and in the external environment where
personal growth, ethical practices and social transformation take place. The topic on social responsibility of the
corporation will focus on its implication to the various stakeholders of the business such as the management,
employees, employees’ families, suppliers, customers, environment and the community at large. On the other hand,
environmental management will emphasize environmental protection policies, programs or activities integrated in the
social responsibility of companies. Furthermore, actual cases and practices depicting ethical and unethical standards,
effective and weak corporate social responsibility, best and worst practices of environmental management among
selected local and international companies will be discussed thoroughly in this course.

Course Objectives At the end of this course, the students are expected to:
A. Acquire knowledge of moral and ethical principles, and corporate social responsibility which are needed in the
dynamic world of business.
B. Identify the relationships, responsibilities, and legal and ethical accountabilities of a corporation not only to its
stakeholders but also to the society at large.
C. Inspire future professionals to engage in moral and ethical practice, social responsibility, and pro-environment
programs, activities or initiatives.
