La Hacienda

CLIENT
La Haceinda Properties, USA

La Hacienda is a desert retreat in the

Arizona hillside of Fountain
Hills. Inspired by the Spanish-colonial
spirit and architecture, La Hacienda is
an exclusive neighborhood that is both
inspiring and nurturing.  To amplify that
spirit, we designed an identity that is
modern looking and show its distinct
architectural feature. The palette of the
sun kissed terra-cotta Arizona desert.
Borrowing the craft of the early 1900
stamp style and minimize it into simple
workable geometry. We took two iconic
elements found on the La Hacienda
environment; the Saguaro (cactus) the
Arizona native plant and the La
Hacienda arch porch, making it a
recognizable graphic representation of
the identity.

Rove Downtown

CLIENT
Capsule Arts for Rove Hotels

Commissioned by Capsule Arts, The Rove

Downtown project is one of the more
exhilarating and challenging tasks we've
had the opportunity to work on.

The design approach was to have the mind

of a street artist and the skill of a graphic
designer. As a result, the product is both
eclectic and relevant to its local flavoring.

Immense research went into the core of

this project's creative process, immersing
designers into creating products that are
culturally sensitive to its execution.

This project is subdivided into smaller

tasks: traditional stenciling, digital art, and
packaging design.

Byahe:
A Typographic Exporation
CLIENT
Self-initiated project

CHALLENGE
‘Byahe’ is an exhibition and film showing by design studio Ape Creative. It
explores the culture and the craft of hand painted lettering on signage. The core
inspiration for ‘Byahe’ arose out of an interest in hand painted signage iconically
found on vehicles in the Philippines. ‘Byahe’ will explore how people connect
through their stories of their travels and experiences using elements of
typography & design on signage exemplified in collaborative effort of the
designers of Ape Creative. The exhibition is a celebration of the slowly dying
craft of hand painted signage - that often overlooked and or ignored.

Construction / Deconstruction

CLIENT
Self-initiated project

CHALLENGE
Commissioned by Bates Pan Gulf Dubai for their reception art piece. The
challenge was to create an installation art piece into their reception area, open-
briefed. BPG asked us to interpret how it is to live in Dubai. Using found objects
as medium, we shaped the composition like the Dubai map being a city of
constant construction and deconstruction.

Dubai is a city that is in a state of constant construction and deconstruction. Out

of its rapid development and expansion we carve a map like timeline of
memories and experiences. In which we construct our own little worlds that
makes up what we are today. Constantly deconstructing and reinventing
ourselves. Becoming the living map that is this city.
