Prophetic Vision: Four horses of

the Apocalypse

Vision of: Anton Brittz

Background
On Monday, 9 August 2010, during a Dream
Seminar of Martin and Letitia van der Merwe, held
in Pretoria, South Africa, Anton Brittz saw a vision
of major prophetic significance. Anton gave me
written permission to translate the vision into
English and to interpret and publish it as I believe
the body of Christ should take note of it.

Vision
I saw a candle in a candlestick – it was just lit, in
other words, the candle was still full length. Both
the candle and the candlestick was double normal
size. The candle shun brightly. Next to the candle
lied a big opened Bible. It looked like a family bible.
A wind came and almost put out the light of the
candle (there was no smoke as when a candle went
out). The candle was still burning but its flame was
small and its light weak. It became darker as the
candle’s flame decreased and became weak. The
vision appeared on the right hand side of my field
of vision.

I looked further right, and saw four horses. It was

already dark and due to the candle’s small and
weak flame the surroundings appeared to be
somewhat foggy.

The one horse was grey in color with boils and torn
places on its body. The next horse was red-brown in
color; another horse was white but not pure white
(maybe off-white). The last horse was black. All the
horses carried injury scars and blemishes on their
body.
There was also a dragon with multiple heads, but I
cannot say with certainty how many heads. The
dragon was of a dirty dark green color with some
yellow here and there.

All of a sudden, the candle started to burn brightly

again.

Then I looked further on my right-hand side and I

saw a beautiful white stallion galloping ankle deep
in crystal clear water. The horse was beautiful and
perfect. The dragon saw the horse, stiffened up and
then viciously grabbed and held on to a piece of
earth.

The dragon looked at the first four horses and saw

them with bits that exposed their teeth. The
beautiful white stallion had no bit and his teeth
were not exposed. When the dragon saw it, he
became fiercer.

The manes of the four horses were trimmed as if in

military style. You could see that the white horse of
the four was not pure white as in contrast to the
pure white color of the stallion.

The four horses were untidily horseshoed with nails

that were penetrating through their hoofs. Their
hoofs were broken and messed up. The beautiful
stallion galloping in the water possessed beautiful
and perfect hoofs.

The four horses’ abdomens were somewhat

disfigured as if it were oversized. The white stallion
was altogether perfectly created and beautiful in
appearance.

The four horses had somewhat of reddish light shun

from their eyes. The white stallion’s eyes were so
clear and clean that you could see unmistakably
the white of his eyes.
The four horses wore dark colored breast armor for
decoration. The white stallion was beautiful, clean
and without any decoration and was not burdened
with any extras.

The dragon looked at the white stallion with envy

and compared him all the time with the four horses.
The more he saw the perfection of the white
stallion the bigger his eyes got and the madder and
more vicious he got.

I looked more to the right and saw a forceful

blinding white light. The light was so sharp that I
almost could not look directly into it. However,
when I managed to stare long enough into this
sharp light, I saw an absolute crystal clear huge cut
diamond. The sides of this large diamante were
perfectly cut. As this diamond was rotating the flat
sides reflected clear white light beams that blinded
me even more.

I looked at the topside of this large cut diamond

and saw something like a veil opened up and saw
the open heavens very blue in color. This was the
end of my vision.

Interpretation: by Andre Niemand

I saw a candle in a candlestick – it was just lit, in
other words, the candle was still full length. The
candle is the spirit of man. The spirit of man is the
candle of the Lord searching all the inward parts of
the belly (Proverbs 20:27).

The candlestick is the human temple that houses

the human spirit. And the seven lamp stands which
you saw are the seven churches [house of the Lord]
(Revelation 1:20b). The human body is also the
house of the Lord; the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Both the candle and the candlestick was double

normal size. Double the normal size refers to
healthy spiritual growth. You grow in the Lord the
way the apostles and church leaders of the Early
Church lived their lives and grew in the Lord. "But
we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to
the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4, emphasis
added). It is first prayer then the word and not vice
versa. Prayer is the backbone of a normal Christian
life; it opens your spirit to God. To minister the
word you need to study and meditate on the word
until the word lives in you.

The candle shun brightly. The human spirit will

constantly shine strongly and brightly as long as
the individual has a constant focus on the Lord. The
Lord alone is the One that gives man visions of
hope. You need a vision of hope, which include a
constant focus on the Lord, to focus your faith. Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1,
emphasis added). It is not possible to place
your hope and trust (faith) in God without
focusing on Him.

Next to the candle lied a big opened Bible. It looked

like a family bible. The opened family Bible
emphasizes the importance to walk with God as a
family. By the word of God you get renewed in the
spirit of your mind that you may value all things
through the eyes of Christ.

A wind came and almost put out the light of the

candle (there was no smoke as when a candle went
out). The wind is a wind of misery. And suddenly a
great wind came from across the wilderness and
struck the four corners of the house, and fell on the
young people, and they are dead; and I alone have
escape to tell you (Job 1:19).
The wind is spells of social, economic and political
destruction, and poverty with consequent suffering
that hits the earth in the last days. There was no
smoke means the depression that hit the spirit of
man was not because man did something wrong.
The candle that was almost extinguished was
because people moved their focus from the Lord to
their external circumstances; the dragon was
wearing down the saints. And he shall speak great
words against the most High, and shall wear out
the saints of the most High, and think to change
times and laws: and they shall be given into his
hand until a time and times and the dividing of
time (Daniel 7:25, KJ, emphasis added).

The candle was still burning but its flame was small
and its light weak. The dragon used fear to wear
down the saints of the Most high. It became darker
as the candle’s flame decreased and became weak.
Life was perceived through the eyes of fear and not
faith. Circumstances were perceived worse than
they were because of a distracted focus, and
everything seemed to be darker and you were
feeling weaker.

The vision appeared on the right hand side of my

field of vision. It means the vision is meant for the
future. Left top is the present and left bottom the
past.

I looked further right, and saw four horses. After

this wind of economic destruction will come four
horses of death. Four follows the number three. The
number four is the number of God’s creative works.
The forth day saw the material creation finished;
the fifth and six days were only the furnishing and
peopling of the earth with living creatures. The sun,
moon and stars completed material creation; they
were to give light upon the earth and to rule over
the day and night (Genesis 1:14-19). The four
horsemen of the Book of Revelation, chapter 6, will
have a major impact of death on the creation of
God. All power was given to them [the four
horsemen] over a forth of the earth, to kill with
sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts
of the earth (Revelation 6:8b). The four horses that
Anton Brittz saw were the four horses that were
recorded by the apostle John in chapter 6 of the
Book of Revelation.

It was already dark and the surroundings appeared

to be somewhat foggy due to the candle’s small
and weak flame. Difficult times are perceived as
dark times. Dark times can affect your spirit
negatively (candle’s small and weak flame) if your
focus is not on the Lord. The surroundings
appeared to be somewhat foggy means it is also a
time of deception. Let no one deceive you by any
means; for that Day will not come unless the falling
away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed,
the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts
himself above all that is called God or that is
worshiped, so that he sits as God, showing himself
that he is God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4). He is the
horsemen of the off-white colored horse in the
vision. And also, “For false christs and false
prophets will rise and show great signs and
wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See,
I have told you beforehand” (Matthew 24:24-25). It
is easy to be deceived if your focus does not stay
on the Lord.

The one horse was white in color but not pure

white; maybe off-white. This horse is the white
horse of the Book of Revelation, chapter 6. Now I
saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I
heard one of the four living creatures saying with a
voice like thunder, “Come and see.” And I looked
and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a
bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went
out conquering and to conquer (Revelation 6:1-2).
The horseman with a bow went out conquering and
to conquer is most probably the Antichrist that
takes control over the world.

The next horse was red-brown in color. This horse is

the fiery red horse of the Book of Revelation,
chapter 6. When He opened the second seal, I
heard the second living creature say, “Come and
see.” Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was
granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from
the earth, and that people should kill one another;
and there given to him a great sword (Revelation
6:3-4). This horseman will take earth’s peace away
after the Antichrist has taken control of the world.
The conflict that we see in the world now is not yet
it. People will kill one another in wars, murder and
crime will become uncontrollable.

Christians will be persecuted. Then they will deliver

you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be
hated by all nations for My name sake (Matthew
24:9). Even close family will betray each other. And
a man’s enemies will be those of his own household
(Matthew 10:36).

Another horse was black. This horse is the black

horse of the Book of Revelation, chapter 6. When
He opened the third seal, I heard the third living
creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked and
behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a
pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the
midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart
of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley
for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and wine”
(Revelation 6:5-6). Food is very expensive because
of drought and famine. Inflation is out of control.

The last horse is grey in color with boils and open

wounds over its body. This horse is the pale horse
of the Book of Revelation. When he opened the
fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living
creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and
behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat
on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And
power was given to them [all four horsemen] over a
fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, hunger, with
death, and by the beasts of the earth (Revelation
6:7-8). The Greek word “khloros” means a pale
green-yellow color. The ancient Hebrews associated
the pale green-yellow color with death. Grass
during autumn is pale green-yellow in color just
before it dies and turns brown. The horse had also
boils and open wounds on his body. So the grey
horse is associated with sickness, abuse, general
health degeneration and death. The four horsemen
will have power over 25% of the earth to kill with
the sword, hunger, death and beast of the earth
(probably animal transmitted deceases) (Revelation
6:8).

All the horses had scars and blemishes on their

body. It would be out of character for Satan to
possess beautiful and perfect animals. Those scars
and blemishes are symbolic of his intentions to
destroy and kill 25% of the earth.

There was also a dragon with multiple heads, but I

cannot say with certainty how many heads. This is
probably the dragon described in Revelation 12.
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a
great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten
horns, and seven diadems on his heads (Revelation
12:3).

The dragon was of a dirty dark green color with

some yellow here and there and not fiery red. I
believe the Holy Spirit emphasized another side of
the same dragon or Satan. This is the color of
death. He will wear down the saints of the Most
High with intent to kill them.

All of a sudden, the candle started to burn brightly

again. Something must have happened to move
man’s focus back to Christ; fresh hope.

Then I looked further on my right-hand side.

Looking further right means to look further into the
future where the vision of hope was.

I saw a beautiful white stallion galloping ankle deep

in crystal clear water. The horse was beautiful and
perfect. The beautiful and perfect white stallion
galloping ankle deep in crystal clear water is the
white horse of the Lord Jesus as per Revelation
19:11: “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a
white horse. And He who sat on him was called
Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges
and makes war.” The white horse symbolizes the
motivation and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. It
also points toward victory in spiritual warfare where
the Lord is present. It also emphasizes Christ our
righteousness and faithfulness in focusing our
attention constantly on the Lord. Walking in the
spirit is not possible without a constant focus on the
Lord.

This white horse is also the fifth horse in the vision.

The number five follows number four. Redemption
follows creation. Due to the fall of our first parents
God made man and creation under his rule subject
to vanity. Therefore God sent His Son into this
broken earth to redeem fallen man and broken
creation. Five is therefore the number of grace.
Grace means favor. Favor manifested to the
miserable is known as mercy; favor manifested to
the poor is known as pity; favor manifested to the
suffering is known as compassion; favor manifested
to the obstinate is known as patience, however,
favor manifested to the unworthy is known as
grace!

The beautiful and perfect white stallion galloping

ankle deep in crystal clear water is our walking in
the word of God. Jesus is the Word of God made
flesh. The brethren of the Lord Jesus are following
the Word of God wherever He goes by manifesting
the Word of God. But his delight is in the law of the
Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf
shall not wither; and whatever he does shall proper
(Psalm 1:2-3).
The dragon saw the horse, stiffened up and in
anger, viciously grabbed and held on to a piece of
earth. Satan hate it when we faithfully pray and
intercede as well as manifesting the word of God.
Then Satan finds no place in us and naturally he will
be powerless and furious.

The dragon looked at the first four horses and saw

them with bits that exposed their teeth. The
beautiful white stallion had no bit and his teeth
were not exposed. When the dragon saw it, he
became fiercer. The bits are to control and steer
the four horses. Satan has control over his four
horses, his servants, and manipulates them to
accomplish his murdering and destructive plans
over a fourth (25%) of the earth (Revelation 6:8).
The white horse is free from brutal manipulation.
The Lord will never manipulate anybody but He
accomplishes His work by leading with His white
horse; his followers follow wherever He may lead.
Their Master is the King of kings. For freedom Christ
has set us free. They that follow Him follow Him on
white horses. That means they follow Him with the
same motivation and enthusiasm that He
manifests. Satan is furious and jealous of the white
stallion (those that follow Jesus wherever He leads)
because he cannot control and manipulate them.

The manes of the four horses were trimmed as if in

military style. Through legalism and callousness
Satan controls his army.

You could see that the white horse of the four was
not pure white as in contrast to the pure white color
of the stallion. Pure white symbolizes the
righteousness of Christ and the off-white is the
deception of the Antichrist. Satan transformed
himself into an angel of light and his ministers
transformed themselves into ministers of
righteousness, hence the off-white color (2
Corinthians 11:14-15).
The four horses were untidily horseshoed with nails
that were penetrating through their hoofs. Their
hoofs were broken and messed up. Their owner,
Satan, treats his four horses (servants) merciless
and let them walk inhospitable and barren ways. He
does not care for his own for he is only a user. For
the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the
way of the ungodly shall perish (Psalm 1:6).

The beautiful stallion galloping in the water

possesses beautiful and perfect hoofs. The Owner
of the stallion let the horse adapt to His royal
status. He manifests love, mercy and grace toward
His household. And how shall they preach unless
they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are
the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
who bring glad tidings of good things” (Romans
10:15, emphasis added).

The four horses’ abdomens were somewhat

disfigured as if it were oversized. The ungodly
indulges in the lusts of the flesh. Their disfigured
and oversized abdomens are due to oversized
stomachs because of overeating and enlarged
livers because of alcohol misuse. Why should
Satan’s four generals be different?

The white stallion had a perfectly normal abdomen

and was beautiful in appearance. Self-control is
part of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Born-again
believers should not give themselves over to the
lusts of the flesh, regardless how innocent it may
seem. Overindulging in food and drink is dangerous
and is sinful. Christians should abstain as far as
possible from alcohol. Once it got hold off you, it is
a hard habit to break. The same go for overeating
and indulgencing in junk food. Christians should
moderately partake of healthy food with
thanksgiving and not forget to regularly fast to seek
the face of God in secret. God delights in Divine
sincerity. Believe me this is not legalism but part of
a sincere relationship with Christ.

The four horses had somewhat of reddish light shun

out from their eyes. The eye refers to man’s ability
to see and understand. Their eyes radiate reddish
light implies they see all things in the light of
conflict and destruction that they are about to bring
to 25% of the earth.

The white stallion’s eyes were so clear and clean

that you could see unmistakably even the white of
his eyes. To the pure all things are pure, but to
those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is
pure; but even their mind and conscience are
defiled (Titus 1:15).

The four horses wore dark colored breast armor for

decoration. The weight and sin which ensnare the
ungodly are the dark colored breast armor and
decoration of unrighteousness and injustice they
wear in their service to Satan.

The white stallion was beautiful, clean and without

any decoration and was not burdened with any
extras. When Christ died on the cross for us, He set
us once and for all free from the weight and sin
that so easily ensnare us and from its wages which
is death.

The dragon looked at the white stallion with envy

and compared him all the time with the four horses.
The more he saw the perfection of the white
stallion the bigger his eyes got and the madder and
more vicious he got. The more he saw the
perfection of the white stallion the more furious and
the more malicious he got. Satan hates God. Satan
is inherently jealous and hate filled. God is not in
competition with Satan. The all-perfect God has
nothing to prove to nobody. Everything about God
is perfect and Satan is jealous and envious about it.
I looked more to the right. More right indicates
further into the future. I saw a forceful blinding
white light. It was so sharp that I could hardly look
directly into it. However, when I managed to stare
long enough into this sharp light, I saw an absolute
crystal clear very large cut diamond. The sides of
this large diamante were perfectly cut. As this
diamante was rotating the flat sides reflected clear
white light beams that blinded me even more. I
looked at the topside of this large cut diamond and
saw something like a veil opened up and saw the
open heavens very blue in color. A diamond refers
to wisdom. The time has come that in the midst of
darkness God is going to reveal the many facets
and dimensions (diamond rotating) of His Divine
wisdom in the fear of the Lord as this earth has
never experienced. To those who fear His name the
heavens will be opened but the ungodly and those
that lust after their flesh will perish. And He said to
him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you
shall see heaven open, and the angels of God
ascending and descending upon the Son of Man
(John 1:51). And also, “Then he dreamed, and
behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its
top reached to heaven: and there the angels of God
were ascending and descending” (Genesis 28:12).
And again, “The Lord will open to you His good
treasure, the heavens” (Deuteronomy 28:12a).

The vision, from the start to the finish, was moving

with every scene further into the unfolding
revelation of the kingdom of God (every scene
further to the right). It is a journey through
tribulation that describes the first four trumpets as
recorded in chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation.
