Major Social Issues
Although Pakistani society is facing some social issues but here we are
going to describe some major social issues. These are being briefly
discussed in below-mentioned list:
 Caste system
 Poverty

 Child labour

 Child marriage

 Illiteracy

 The low status of women

 Gender inequality at work

 Dowry system

 Sati practice

 Alcoholism

 Superstition

 Sanitation and cleanliness

 Religious conflicts

 Beggary

 Juvenile delinquency

These were some of the main social issues in Pakistan that needs to be
resolved on urgent basis. Even the startups can take these social issues
on their agenda to solve and address them properly. Pakistan has to
deal with these issues otherwise it will be difficult for us to sustain in
this fast moving world where everything has proper policies and rights.
Due to continuance existence of these issues, Pakistan is being ranked
low in most of the areas and basic human right is the biggest example
of that.
Proposed Solutions

There are many organisations and NGOs and even government

institutes that are dealing with most of the problems mentioned above.
Each social issue has its own cause and needs to be resolved on
immediate grounds. Some pragmatic solutions to overcome these
social issues are given below:
Social Cures
 Awareness by media

 Financial security

 Social justice

 Fulfilment of basic needs

 Providing food, cloth, shelter and education

 Reforming schools as well as madrasahs education

 Role of NGOs

 The positive role of scholars and educationists and women

 Development programs

Economic Cures
 Business-friendly tax culture

 The consistency of economic policies

 Maximum incentives to local and foreign investors

 Construction of dams

 Exploring natural resources

 Equal distribution of income

 Strict accountability on fund utilisation

 Technical and research-based education (more budget for education)

 Search for new markets

 Seeking peace to lower down defence budget

We have listed most of the social issues in the country along with
proposed solutions. However, all of these problems and their solutions
are directly and indirectly attached to the governance system that is
very poor in the country. If we are really interested in solving all of
these issues, then the country must have good governance system then
these issues can easily be resolved.

23 March Essay in English

March 23rd, 1940 is a remarkable day in the history of Pakistan. That

day, Muslims of South Asia told the world that they want nothing but
recognition as a separation nation, the Muslims, and a separate
country to live in freely, Pakistan.
The All-India Muslim League emerged as the major Muslim party that
would lead to the creation of Pakistan. It was Pakistan Resolution Day,
23rd March 1940 when Mohammad Ali Jinnah became the Quaid-e-
Azam he later came to be known as. That day he became that
passionate symbol of unwavering strength that fueled the fire of
Muslim unity, to the extent that the Muslims began to consider M.A
Jinnah as an institution within in himself.
Before the Pakistan Resolution Day 23rd March, 1940, Jinnah’s
political decisions highlighted his lifelong dream of seeing the
Muslims and Hindus of the subcontinent working together,
understanding each other and forming a unanimous political voice to
make “their common motherland” one of “the great countries of the
world”.
The Lahore Resolution marked a dynamic shift as the world saw
Jinnah abandon this dream as he left Delhi to travel to Lahore in a
beautifully decorated train adorned with green flags, and the crescent
and star, the emblem of the Muslim League.
He chose the opening day as the occasion to address a huge public
gathering of Muslim Leaguers and the Khaksars, all gathered at Minto
Park to make Jinnah the leader who will guide them towards a more
secure future in the subcontinent.
The man, Jinnah, who was once famous as the ambassador of Hindu-
Muslim unity now became the greatest leader who feverishly
advocated the Muslim’s right to self-rule and independence.
He was now the great leader of Pakistan movement, and soon it was
clear to everyone, the British leadership, Gandhi, Nehru and Azad
amongst others, that they have no choice but to agree to the two-
nation solution; and Jinnah was resolved to achieve.
After the Pakistan Resolution Day, 23rd March 1940, it was evident to
all Hindu leaders that they must submit their will to the creation of a
neighboring Muslim state, which will be fully equipped to deal with
them with a strong diplomatic agenda.
23 March 1940 was the day when Muslims truly gathered at a platform
to make Pakistan and under Quaid’s unwavering leadership, our
forefathers saw the historical moments of creation of Pakistan.
Now it’s our responsibility to endeavour for Pakistan’s prosperity and
development.
May ALLAH save our beloved country Pakistan!

Kashmir Conflict History

Indian Administered Kashmir is a territorial conflict between Pakistan and

India, having started since the day of partition in 1947. Both countries have
fought three wars over Kashmir including 1947 War, 1965 War and Kargil
War of 1999. In addition to these wars, both countries have also been
involved in several military operations and skirmishes over control of the
Siachen Glacier.
The people of Indian Occupied Kashmir also want a solution for their
struggles and want a merger with Pakistan. Their conflict with India is
based on the demand for self-determination.
India calls Kashmir to be its integral part through former Prime Minister of
India Manmohan Singh stated that his government was willing to grant
autonomy to the region within the purview of Indian constitution if there was
a consensus among political party over this issue.
Pakistan on the other side has declared Kashmir its jugular vein. Pakistan’s
claims to the disputed areas of Kashmir are also based on the rejection of
Indian claims to Kashmir namely the Instrument of Accession.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of CPEC to Pakistan
and China?

The China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC) -- flagship project under

the mega One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative -- is not merely a corridor
that Pakistan is hoping will transform its economy but rather a project that
may wreck its finances and societal structure.
A 15-year master plan of CPEC that has come to light reveals that Pakistan
will be fully subjugated by China under the current terms and conditions of
the project.
The master plan, a copy of which is seen by ET, envisages a deep and
broad-based penetration of most sectors of Pakistan’s economy as well as
its society by Chinese enterprises and culture. The plan spells out in detail
what Chinese intentions and priorities are in Pakistan for the next 15 years.
It may be recalled that China has decided to invest $62 billion for the CPEC
project.
Under the plan, thousands of acres of agricultural land will be leased out to
Chinese enterprises in Pakistan to set up “demonstration projects” in areas
ranging from seed varieties to irrigation technology.
A system of monitoring and surveillance will be built in cities from
Peshawar to Karachi with 24-hour video recording on roads and busy
marketplaces for law and order.
Besides, as the per master plan, a national fibre-optic backbone will be built
for Pakistan not only for internet traffic, but also terrestrial distribution of
broadcast TV, which will cooperate with Chinese media in the
“dissemination of Chinese culture”. A similar Sinification is visible in the
Mandalay town of Myanmar which has impacted local architecture and
culture. It remains to be seen how a conservative section of the Pakistani
society reacts to the influence of Chinese culture.
In some areas, the plan is to build on a market presence already established
by Chinese enterprises -- for instance, Haier in household appliances,
China Mobile and Huawei in telecommunications, and China Metallurgical
Group Corporation in mining and minerals.
A key thrust of the plan lies in agriculture. Pakistan will also become a
market for agricultural produce from Western China and this will adversely
impact local producers, alleged Pakistani civil society activists. From
provision of seeds and other inputs, such as fertiliser, credit and pesticides,
Chinese enterprises will also operate their own farms, processing facilities
for fruits and vegetables and grain. Logistics companies will operate a large
storage and transportation system for agrarian produce, as per the CPEC
master plan. Chinese enterprises will take the lead in each field.
Experts on Chinese economy claim that Beijing’s goal through CPEC is to
improve the agriculture sector of certain western provinces. The plan
proposes to harness the work of the Xinjiang Production and Construction
Corps to bring mechanization as well as scientific technique in livestock
breeding, development of hybrid varieties and precision irrigation to
Pakistan. It sees its main opportunity as helping the Kashgar Prefecture, a
territory within the larger Xinjiang Autonomous Zone, which is poverty
ridden.
FIBRE OPTIC WORRIES
One of the oldest priorities for the Chinese government since talks on CPEC
began is fibre optic connectivity between China and Pakistan. An MoU for
such a link was signed in July 2013 which may impact India’s security.
“Moreover, China’s telecom services to Africa need to be transferred in
Europe, so there’s a certain hidden danger of the overall security,” says the
plan.
The plan also envisages a terrestrial cable across the Khunjerab pass to
Islamabad, and a submarine landing station of cable in Gwadar. Gwadar, as
per the plan, “is positioned as the direct hinterland connecting Balochistan
and Afghanistan”.
The expanded bandwidth will enable terrestrial broadcast of digital HD
television, called Digital Television Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting
(DTMB). This is envisioned as more than just a technological contribution.
According to the master plan, “It is a cultural transmission carrier. The
future cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani media will be beneficial
to disseminating Chinese culture in Pakistan, further enhancing mutual
understanding between the two peoples and the traditional friendship
between the two countries.”
“There is a plan to build a pilot safe city in Peshawar, which faces a fairly
severe security situation in northwestern Pakistan,” the plan says, following
which the initiative will be extended to major cities such as Islamabad,
Lahore and Karachi. This may see deployment of Chinese forces in Pakistan
with a direct bearing on Indian security.
Importantly, Pakistan’s federal and involved local governments should also
bear part of the responsibility for financing through issuing sovereign
guarantee, according to the plan.

CPEC and it's socio-economic implications for the region

and the world'
The topic is a little misleading and devious. Right off the bat, a
few things jump out. Firstly, the focus is on the regional and
global implications of CPEC and not on its domestic Pak/China
impacts. Secondly, the focus is on socio-economic implications.

I could tell straight away that:

 It would be very difficult to write 2500+ words without

mentioning either the local impacts or regional/global
strategic impacts
 So they had to be included but in a way that relates them to
the main topic at hand.

Hence, this is the outline I came up with:

Introduction
- Intro to CPEC
- Scope and aims of CPEC

Main Body
To properly address the regional and global implications of CPEC,
we start by addressing its implication on Pakistan and China.

Implications on Pakistan
- List Socio-Economic benefits
- List some negative points such as debt burden etc.

Implications on China
- List advantages to China of trade routes etc
- List strategic advantages of maintaining presence in South
Asia/Arabian sea

Then we move on to regional implications

Positive impacts:
- Enhanced connectivity in Central Asia will bring sea access to
landlocked republics + access to Chinese market.
- Iran will get huge market for gas
- Energy market from the Middle East
- Afghanistan appreciates Chinese attempts to secure peace

Negative impact (here we must shift a little from socio-

economic to strategic):
- India feels cornered
- Indian actions; arms race etc.
- Debt burden on countries

Global implications (since most of CPEC's benefits are

regional, this makes me think the examiner wants us to
mention the global strategic implications)
- Must be viewed in context of shift from unipolar to multipolar
world
- US pivot to Asia
- US and India working to counter Chinese influence in South Asia
- Japan wary too
- India-Aus-Japan-US alliance to counter OBOR

My own opinion and conclusion:

- CPEC is ultimately an infrastructure and trade program, that

doesn't inherently harm anyone
- Increasing transparency will go a long way to countering local
opposition and pacify Indians

‫‪Military and Politics in Pakistan‬‬

‫‪Military is a formidable political actor in Pakistan, capable of influencing the nature‬‬

‫‪of the army for more than thirty-eight years since the country’s independence in‬‬

‫‪Pakistan. The previous government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the‬‬
‫‪incumbent government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) could come to‬‬
‫‪power only after Musharraf’s national reconciliation mechanism.‬‬
‫‪Introduction‬‬
Military has always assumed a prominent role in Pakistan’s political affairs. Since the
imposition of first martial law of 1958, the role of military has been expanding and, over
the years, it has established its primacy over the political process that is manifested in
different forms e.g. role in policymaking from behind the curtain, direct rule under martial
law, installing of regimes that remained reliant on the generals and penetration into the
civilian institutions and processes. This praetorianism has led to confrontation between
different institutions and it has put a big question mark on the future of democracy in
Pakistan.

Factors behind military interventions

i. Reactive Militarism
The first factor which is held responsible for the military interventions in Third World
countries like Pakistan is reactive militarism. This factor is mainly due to the following
two reasons:

(a) Deterioration of political situation or crisis of law and order

In Pakistan’s case, the military has intervened in politics under the pretext of political
decay and collapse of the country’s economy. The coup d’état of 1958 was the most
striking example of how an apolitical military could slowly be drawn into the political field
due to the failure of the political leaders to run liberal democratic institutions.

(b) Crisis of legitimacy

Since military regimes play havoc with institutions and the spirit of constitution, they lack
any kind of legitimacy in a democratic setup. In Pakistan, military regimes resorted to
experimentation with the constitution. For example, General Ayub Khan took over in
1958 and put the Constitution of Pakistan, 1956, in abeyance and imposed the martial
law. Even the political governments, who come to power through votes, face the crisis
of legitimacy to some extent as hardly any party has been able to get more than fifty
percent of votes.

ii. Overambitious or Bonapartist elements in army

This point is highlighted by various Western scholars and political scientists, such as
Finer on “Man in Horseback” highlighted this point. The element of over-ambition
encourages interventions. In the case of Pakistan, these Bonapartist tendencies may be
traced far back; such as the Rawalpindi Conspiracy case in 1951. Ayub Khan, Yahya
Khan, Ziaul Haq and Pervez Musharraf were very ambitious generals as they exceeded
their authority and resorted to unconstitutional measures.

iii. Role of defeated and displaced leaders

In Pakistan, defeated and displaced leadership also plays a legitimizing role for military.
It invites military to stage coup and overthrow the government. Reasons behind this
tendency include tense government-opposition relations, as ruling party/coalition fails to
accord opposition its rightful status. They push the opposition to the wall. In a reactive
mood, opposition gravitates towards military. Moreover, on account of absence of
vibrant political institutions, the politics has remained faction-ridden. Thus, military
always finds allies among these factions who are always ready to give a legitimizing role
to the military, in return. For example, in 1971, Ashgar Khan wrote a letter to Ziaul Haq
inviting him to dethrone Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. During the 1990s, opposition wrote letters to
the GHQ asking for a military intervention.

Social Media: Youth And Pakistan

SOCIAL MEDIA
Recent trend clearly shows a shift of business users and youth from traditional communication advertising such as
television, radio, newspaper and magazines are no longer appealing to them. Social media refers to web based service
that allows individuals for sharing, collaborating and taking insight to each other without any geographic barriers and
with the help of new media tool of internet. Elliot (2012)

DIGITAL MARKETING MARKETING:

"The growing importance of social media websites particularly YouTube, Face book and LinkedIn and their
penetration in the country cannot be ignored by corporate managers who for the most part do not have a effective

Impact of Indian cinema on Pakistani culture

Cinema is a great source of promoting culture, values and norms of the society, it
shows how exactly the people of that specific region are and how they live, think
and do their activities.
Indian movies are very much popular in our country and movies are very much
seen in Pakistan. Bollywood is a largest showbiz industry in the world and one of
the main reasons of great influence of Indian cinema in our society and culture is
because of downfall of Pakistani showbiz industry. Pakistani cinema is going
down and working poorly.
Indian cinema is promoting its
culture through its movies and
dramas, which are totally based on
Hindu folklore. they are influencing
our culture and values by showing
us their dramas and movies which
are totally based on their false
believes and they are catching
attention of our people by showing
so much fantasy , colors and glitters in their movies and dramas. In this way they
are spoiling our people’s thoughts and also moving them far away to watch their
own country’s cinema. It is believed that if you want to rule on a nation, you
should capture their minds and through propaganda cultivate your own culture in
their lives by showing them your culture with strong believes.
No doubt, it is the fault of our directors and producers who are not making good
movies, there are no solid concepts seen in new movies of Pakistan. Our youth is
educated and know more about the issues. They want to see good movies based
on good scripts and well working cast. Pakistani cinema is lacking all these
elements. Our directors and producers make low budget films with so called
topics and cast.
It is the need of the time that Pakistani cinema should be improved; it needs more
attention of great investors and script writers, So that our people and society
turns to watch their own cinema. Movies should be magnifying our society,
culture and beliefs. There should be some massage for youth or people in the
movies. Social issues must be highlighted with their solutions.
Some Indian movies are worth watching as they depicts meanings of life, society,
culture, believes and positive actions and these kind of movies are remembered
for long time by the people. That’s another point of so much Indian cinematic
impact in our country and our students and our culture.
Most of the women and girls try to copy their favorite actresses of Indian dramas
and movies and try to look and behave like them. In case of men and boys they
are not far from doing same also. They also copy their favorite male actors. In this
case, our youth is spoiling their own values and culture by attaining and acting,
behaving like neighbor country. Our culture is being spoiled
Pakistani cinema is now working to regain its worth and status values. Our
showbiz industry still has some great thinkers and story tellers who are working
hard for reshaping Pakistani cinema.
Unethical and abused Indian movies should be banned in our country by law
enforcement strategies.

Impact of social media on students

Social networking websites like Facebook, twitter, MySpace, youtube and etc. are
very much common among youth. Social media has several impacts on students
and their academic work as Students use social media websites for discussion
and for study purposes. Social media has become a vital part in modern society.
Social media is becoming increasingly important for this era, because of
increasing global outreach potential offered by the internet. Students can contact,

via various forms of social media.
Social media also have some positive points, as it helps people in online
communities and enhance communication. Social media has been used in many
ways in this era as it is the era of technology. Youth is learning fast on social
media and using it for constructive purpose also. One can educate people about
the society, good and bad, values, ethics and culture, if its use is preceded in a
positive way. Sometimes, Students use these social media tools in their studies
also. They talk about their lectures, subjects or a single topic of their syllabus
with their campus community groups.
Many of teens, youth but also adults also use it. Many of them don’t know how to
use it safe. Over the past few years, social media networks have become one of
the most popular applications on the internet. Social networking sites attracts
youth, teens specially students towards them. While chatting and talking to
friends, students forget about the time. Somehow, it is wastage of time, by saving
that time students can learn more by studying.
Social media is just like a trap for students as students get so much involve in it.
For some teens and tweens, social media is a primary way to interact socially. In
spite of gathering and going out with friends, students prefer social media to
contact and make fun with their friends. New generation usually now love to
spend their time in using internet and mobile phones.
Use of social media affects students so much, not only their studies but also their
relations. A large number students log on to one of their favorite social media
website so many times on daily basis. Some if the students keep using cell
phones for texting and instant massaging.
For youth and students, it is not much beneficial as social media websites are not
much safe and students who use social media get so much addicted to it and
they forget about their other activities and responsibilities. Too much use of
social media websites is risky for the students as they lose their personal data
and information, they upload on the websites. Not only on internet but also when
students meet each other in their educational institutes, they keep discussing
about their activities and data uploaded by them and their friends.
World is moving and developing fast, use of social media is not much bad, but it
is worse, when used in a negative way. For parents it is advised that, while
students are using social networking site or any other social media tool, it is the
responsibility of parents to watch over them and tell them how to use it in a good
way. Do not make so much hard and fast rules for children, that they begin to feel
being caged. Proper guidance and counseling will works to teach students,
children and youth the best and positive use of social media.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Internet
English Essay on "Advantages and Disadvantages of Internet"

Advantages of Internet

Internet has been perhaps the most outstanding innovation in the field of
communication. Internet is defined as a collection of various services and resources.
Although, many people still think e-mail and World Wide Web as the principle
constituents of Internet, there is a lot more in store than e-mail, chat rooms, celebrity
web sites and search engines. Today internet has brought a globe in a single room.
Right from getting news across the corner of the world to accessing knowledge
resources to shopping, everything is at your fingertips.

the disadvantages quite easily. Let us see what are advantages and disadvantages of
Internet.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Computer

English Essay on "Advantages and Disadvantages of Computer"

We are breathing in an era of revolutions. New ideals theories and inventions hit the
head-lines in the newspapers. Computers, now-a-days have become part of our daily
background. News papers, magazines we read, have been typed by computers, the
bills we pay are prepared on computers; and statements in banks and other institutions
are made over computers and houses are designed by architects with the help of
computers. Scientists, businessmen, soldiers and sailors, clerks and directors,
accountants and engineers, teachers and lawyers, doctors and researchers, and a
growing number of computer personnel make constant use of computers in their daily
life. Modern offices hum with the sounds of office machines...typewriters, dictation
machines, calculators, copiers, and data processing machines. Computers hold out a
great and bright future to mankind. Computer communication will be key to the present
and future generations.

Computer is resulted error free and reliable processing of data either human who
are prone to errors. Computer has helped in data transmission over long distances. No
matter the distance, data can be moved from one computer to the other computer at
high-speed. Computer also reduces cost in terms of investments in businesses and
concise the record rooms into single hard drive. Computer helped to grow businesses in
terms of business meetings, conference, emails and online chatting.(9essay.com)
Sharing of information over the internet is a major advantage which has been brought
up by the computers in the global business sector.

Computer causes various health and safety issues. Computer users suffer serious
back problems, eyes strain and neck pain. This is probably due to a poor posture or an
awkward position while sitting at a computer. Computers are generally expensive to buy
and maintain. The first purchase, buying of additional software and maintaining it can be
expensive. You are not guaranteed that it will never break down. It has brought along
immoral behavior among its users. The availability of the internet has perpetuated the
rise of hackers, has made it possible to access pornographic material with ease and
even lowered the productivity of employees for they can spend hours in the internet
instead of working.

Terrorism"

What is terrorism? What does it involve? Who does it involve? In my mind, terrorism
is, "evil, horror, and violence. It is the cruelty of killing mass numbers of people for
illogical reasons." The Encyclopedia of Britannica describes terrorism as, "the
systematic use of terror or unpredictable violence against governments, publics, or
individuals, to attain a political objective." The FBI further describes it as either being,
"domestic or international terrorism; domestic terrorism being the illegal or threatened
use of violence within the United-states or without foreign direction in furtherance of
political or social objectives; and international terrorism being violent acts dangerous to
human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United-States, or any state."
Clear, precise, and factual; yes. But emotionally correct, no.
Terrorism has struck all through history and around the world. Even in ancient
Roman times, emperors such as Tiberius and Caligula dealt with terrorism by using
banishment, and execution towards those who opposed their rule. Later in the 1860's a
terrorist group called the Ku Klux Klan was formed by Southerners to terrify former
slaves and prevent them from voting or run for office. In the 19th century, Western
Europeans, Russians, and Americans adopted terrorism, and believed that the best way
to get what they wanted was to assassinate people holding high positions of power.

In the 20th century, terrorism went through some great changes. The use of new
technology such as automatic weapons and electrically bursting explosives encouraged
terrorists to act violently and provided them with an easier way of attacking. At the time,
attacks were mainly from groups trying to undermine or overthrow existing political
institutions. However, today terrorism exists with different causes and purposes in mind.
It has been used in anti-colonial conflicts such as in Ireland, Britain, Algeria and France.
It is used when settling conflicts between different groups in possession of homeland
such as Palestine & Israel.(9essay.com) It is also used in religious disagreements in the
case of the Catholics & Protestants in Northern Ireland and in internal conflicts between
revolutionary forces and established governments, for example: Malaysia, Argentina,
Iran, and Nicaragua.

Terrorism went from numerous attacks in the 20th century, to less frequent but more
destructive assaults in the 21st century. The threat of terrorism has now become more
deadly. But the Americans soldiers, the freedom fighters as some people call them are
fighting back with no mercy. As Herr expresses in his book, "the battle grew into the
bloodiest of the spring", "4,000 had been killed... it was another American victory." Over
the past couple years; terrorists have developed new tactics such as portable bombs,
suicide operatives, and weapons of mass destruction. These have been known to result
in hundreds, not to say thousands of people being injured or killed. Some people even
become terrorist, or are forced into terrorizing for reasons that they do not even know.
As Michael Herr mentions, "Every day people were dying because of some small detail
that they couldn't be bothered to observe." Take September 11 2001 into consideration,
when two airplanes were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center and another
into the pentagon. In just two hours, families were torn apart, courage was tested, and
the world was shaken forever. The hijackers had probably believed that they were dying
on that plane for their country, but sadly did not know the true and exact reason for their
presence, or their life for that matter. At the Democratic National Convention, Hillary
Clinton said, "I visited Ground Zero right after we were attacked. I felt like I was standing
at the Gates of Hell. I hope no American ever has to witness a sight like that again."

A Brief Discussion on Advantages of Computer Systems

As there are 2 sides of coins there are Advantages and Disadvantages of computers ::
 Speed
 Accuracy
 Stores huge amount of data
 Online trading
 Online education | Distance Learning
 Research
 Forecasting weather, and predicting earthquakes ,volcano eruptions
 Produce Employement
 Internet
 In Business

Speed

The speed of computer has made a vital impact on human society before computers was just used for
some numerical calculations, but nowadays computers are used in virtually every single part of human
living. The computer is not just a calculating device anymore, with the use of its speed computer can
perform multiple task, multiple operations, complex numerical problems within a fraction of second. They
can perform about Trillions of instruction per second..!!!!! That’s unbelievable Speed!!!!!

People can play songs, do their documentation work, surf the internet, check mails, search for
something on the internet or in the Computer memory with speed and accuracy. The speed is
considered as the biggest advantage of computers because it can perform all operations with an
incredible speed which can reduce the amount of time spend when working manually.

For Example:: It can calculated the salaries of Employees within fraction of seconds before it would
take long hours when done manually by people.

Accuracy

Not only speed but a computer can work with almost 100% accuracy. This is also one of its advantages,
as it can perform complex numerical calculation not only with speed and with accuracy. Imagine you
have given a task to calculate the gross salary of ten thousand employees with a deduction in the
salaries as per the rules and regulation. That’s not a simple task to calculate the given salaries
manually, you are bound to make mistakes and even a small mistake can harm you badly.

And now here comes the magic of computers it can do all the hard work of calculating the salaries of the
employees and deduction as needs. You can obtain the results at your fingertips within a fraction of
seconds when given a correct or proper input, with great speed and incredible accuracy. Hence the big
organizations with hundreds of employees working for them use computer generated bills and pay slips.
Even in the Government sector, all the manual calculations had been shifted to computers.

Stores Huge Amount of Data

Data storing capabilities of computers these days are “HUGE” as compared to previous years. They can
save or store any volume of data or instruction given to them permanently. Users can recall the data or
instructions or information given to them anytime & any place as quickly as you can imagine.

The Storing capability of computer is measured in MB (Mega-Bytes), GB (Giga-Bytes), TB (Tera-Bytes)

Railways use the computer for storing their passenger details, route of trains and even their employee's
details. India has a population of around 125cr people, 93% of them have received their adhaar card
issued by the Government of India.

concern due to computer viruses and hacking attacks many companies offers services for data security.

Computer cannot take their own decision NO IQ

As PC does not have their own IQ they cannot take decisions on their own, which sometimes make our
work tedious then it looks They simply operate when given proper and correct instruction, if computer
get wrong or improper instruction the result will be wrong as they do not have logical brains determining
true or false.
Negative effect on Environment

The computer waste and the manufacturing process produce lots of waste .which is harmful to the
environment and our society. The used computer or the computer which is in no more use should be
donated. There waste produce harmful chemicals which pollute our environment and nature, therefore
use of green computer should be applied as it has no adverse effect on environment and can be
recycled.
Crashed networks

shared internet.while all of your employees do different works on their respective computers and one
day your network goes down or the whole network is crashed .you will find that all the computer which
are connected to each other stop working and hence less production or no work is found. This is one of
the significant Disadvantage of computer occurs frequently when used in a network.

Spread of violence and hatred

The spread of violence and hate-related articles can be found easily while surfing the internet. People
get in touch with this articles which destroys the thinking process of individuals and we find
consequences which are not for the betterment of human society.

Cyber Crimes

Some people which are commonly called as “HACKERS OR CRACKER” break down our computer
system and get unauthorized access and steals our credit card numbers our passwords and our
sensitive information. With this information, they violate all laws and misuse our information of their
benefits.

Role of Media in Every Day Life

English Essay on "Role of Media in Every Day Life"

Irrespective of geographical boundaries the world has turned into global village
because of media and communication. The technology is the bigger aspect that has
promoted it more. Now a day’s media has a great role in our life and that has been

One is the most vital role of media as a television of our life, the level of awareness
among the youth of Pakistan is more than the other countries. As we know media is a
tremendous source for knowledge. Pakistan has round about 80 to 100 news channels
that is the mine thing that increases more awareness in our youth. If we compare our
youth understanding level with American youth we will feel the difference because there
only 2 to 3 news channels. This is in every field especially in political discussion. Awareness is
very essential and it can easily get by the electronic media news. Youth should promote
the awareness of very thing through this mean because it is the best way.

Second is the most essential role of media as a computer / internet of our life, who
spend too much time on social sites, or who take the abuses of online bullies seriously
on the sites could have some issues. For parents, even those of teenagers who are 16
and 17, it is important to watch to make sure that social media sites do not take over the
lives of children.(9essay.com) When used appropriately, it can be a very good thing.
Media has had a bad effect on a generation, mainly because ,youth is strongly
influenced by media. Teenagers and children wish to follow the people ,who get
recognized and do what they do to get noticed. Sometimes, they focus on bad part of
the media and strive to be a part of it. However, many are not succumbed to a life of
crime.

Moreover, media can be use as healthy activity which includes education

researches, technologies and other things so that young generations can easily adopt
that and can get information from them. Media news channels are bringing up the
programs like Apprenticeships and Dragon’s Den for the young generations to come up
and bring out some innovative ideas. They have started a program “khabar nak” which
is playing a very vast and vital activity to refresh the mind of youth. The ways in which
they tell and discuss news is quite a funny and having a great sense of humor & then

everything is a matter of concern. Media can be considered as "watch dog" of political
democracy. I believe, if the media identifies its responsibility and work sincerely and
honestly, then it can serve as a great force in building the nation.

form of media. Radio, Television, Internet or Cable Net, Cable TV Networks etc. Imagine a city without televisions, radio, or internet
connections. All these media facilities provide people awareness of what is going on around them. Electronic as well as print Media
is an effective way of communication as it provides link between ordinary persons and others in the world. It is only due to
newspapers that we can read in the morning about the events that took place on the other side of the world only the day before.
Besides, electronic media can telecast live happenings from around my corner of the world. Radio, Television and Internet are
inventions that extend, across all areas of internet including weather forecasts, entertainment, educational broadcasts, business and
important political and social events. Companies that want to sell their products by advertising also make use of media. Media is
very important in the fast moving world, because without media the society would be unaware of the local and foreign affairs.

Electronic media is the most unpredictable mean of spreading knowledge among people.(9essay.com) One gets biased and
one-sided views through this media and nobody can rely of truth. Internet was supposed to be used for gaining information from
throughout the world, but only a fraction uses it for information. Rests are being morally devaluated through the improper and non-
religious publishing.

The source of Media is very important in the modern world. It is a source which is directly related to common people, so it must
realize its responsibility and cry to broadcast such programs which build up the moral values in the society.

he Role of Media

the audiences in time. The priority of the news items is determined by media outlets and media people. Media also remind us which
issue is to be the ‘prime issue’ of the day among dozens of ongoing issues.

Media plays an important role in the grooming of our society. Its significance cannot be denied. It is the fast effecting medium
of transferring information and awareness about old, current and new things to a society. It includes both electronic and print media.
Let us discuss some of the major roles and responsibilities of media fulfills and what should be its role and responsibilities towards a
society. Now telling programs are on air and these revealing programs enhance statesman knowledge of topical peoples. The most
primal bright view of Media is that now they are optimal communicator of melody for localized peoples. They furnish optimal level for
all types of peoples when they are discharged. In squab by with improvements in media they are more trenchant and helpful for all
age of peoples.

Televised news is the most powerful medium today, especially in Pakistan where the literacy rate is extremely low. Due to
impact of TV channels, the people are more informed.(9essay.com) The electronic media, along with the print media, often criticize
the government for going against the spirit of the constitution, violating democratic traditions and being unaccountable to the public
at large for inflation, unemployment, poverty, deterioration of the law and order situation and highhandedness against opposition.

It can be used as a motivational force to bring consensus on vital issues like education and health. The truth is that the
significance of the media as a medium of interconnectedness of human affairs cannot be undermined in an age of rapid
globalization. A free media that works conscientiously can serve as the collective conscience at the national and international level.
This, however, is often easier said than done.

The reporter or journalist is after all human and endowed with biases and in some cases prejudices and as with all power
bases the media too is vulnerable to the corruption of the absolute power. There will always be those in their ranks who can be
bought with cash or perks or promises of paradise.
At the end, media can facilitate stabilize and strengthen the country by playing educational and informative role and by
imparting knowledge to the masses as knowledge is power and only a well-informed society can develop a positive approach
towards life.

Power Breakdown
English Essay on "Power Breakdown"

At the present time, power is one of the most important things we use every day. It has also become a part of modern life and
one cannot think of a world without it. Electricity power has many uses in our day to day life. It is used for lighting rooms, working
fans, air conditioners and domestic appliances like using electric stoves, and more. All these provide comfort to people. In factories,
machines are worked with the help of power. Essential items like food, cloth, paper and many other things are ultimately linked of
power. If power breakdown, survive so difficulties.

Pakistan was plunged into darkness after a key power transmission line broke down early on Sunday in an incident being
initially blamed on a rebel attack, the newest reminder of the country's crippling energy crisis. The power breakdown, one of the
worst Pakistan has experienced, caused electricity to be cut in major cities throughout the country, including the capital
Islamabad. This was the major breakdown of the system within the past breakdowns plunging countless cities, towns and villages in
Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan into darkness. A substantial area in Sindh was affected, more that 70 percent of
Karachi had plunged into darkness.

However, the spokesman of the Baloch Republican Army, Sarbaz Baloch, claimed that the defunct militant group had carried
out the bombing of two 220 kv transmission lines in Notal area of Balochistan's Nasirabad district.(9essay.com) Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif took notice of the power breakdown and issued instructions for the immediate resumption of power supply on an
emergency basis. Power supply in many areas was restored after instructions were issued by the prime minister.

Pakistan's electricity distribution system is a complex and delicate web and a major fault at one section often leads to chain
reactions and breakdowns of power generation and transmission.

In addition to chronic infrastructure problems, the energy sector is also trapped into a vicious “circular debt” brought on by the
dual effect of the government setting low electricity prices and customers failing to pay for it. State utilities therefore lose money, and
cannot pay private power generating companies, which in turn cannot pay the oil and gas suppliers, who cut off the supply.

Solving Pakistan's power crisis was a key campaign pledge for Sharif in the run-up to the 2013 general election, and the
shortage is heaping fresh pressure on his government.

Supreme Court of Pakistan announced the project
