This interview is about My grandma talking about her own life experience in the 1970s and
1980s and how the Chinese US Normalization affects the social and financial status
of Liu’s family. The action of the normalization itself didn’t affect Liu’s family
directly, but the underlying policy changes and the economic golden age has played
a huge part in our family. She also talks about her part-time jobs after the
normalization. However, my grandma was a poor farmer during the normalization,
 so she didn’t recieve a direct influence from it. Also, survival problems are the only
issue she cares about at that time, so she doesn’t have many thoughts in
international events and policy. o
