Preface

This document describes the process of configuring 7302ISAM for use in the
Cambodian project C5 Phase 3.

1 Compatibility

This document supports the configuration of ISAM with the following release:

2 Conventions

The following conventions are used throughout this document:


 Courier New font: denotes to be entered commands at Unix level, and their
output.
 The # prompt denotes login as root;
 The > prompt denotes login as normal user.
 Bold italics Arial font: denotes GUI actions (menu selections or buttons).

3 Pre-configuration steps

3.1 Connect to the ISAM via Craft Terminal


Connect the PC’s Serial port to the craft port of the ISAM. The craft port is located on
the NANT-A card (RJ45 connector)
Run Hyperterminal (or other toools) and setup the serial connection with following
parameters:

As soon as you connect the system will show following prompt:


Would you like a CLI(C) or a TL1 login (T) or TL1 normal session (N)? [N]:

Choose ‘C’ to enter the CLI. The factory username and password are:
 Username = isadmin
 Password = i$@mad-

This password needs to be changed on first logon. Please change it to ans#150

4 Configuration Procedure

4.1 Configure System ID


Configure the system name.
# configure system id TC_Bayon

4.2 Configure System Prompt


Configure the system prompt to represent the system name and use type based LT
numbering.
# configure system security operator isadmin prompt "%s:

Note: The total length of the prompt string needs to be less or equal than 19
characters. This means the system ID can only be 8 characters.

4.3 NT-I/O configuration:


1. Plan the NT-I/O board and check it:
# configure equipment applique iont:1/1 planned-type ncnc-d
# show equipment applique
2. Make sure both NT boards are planed and running well:
# show equipment slot

3. Confirm the protection group 1 is unlocked. If no please unlock it.


# show equipment protection-group

4. Confirm the standby NT is “hot-standby”. If no please make it hot-


standby.
# show equipment protection-element

4.4 Configure uplink ports


# configure interface shub port x port-type network mode

up for management, SIG, Media and XDSL

4.5 Configure the management VLAN


Configure the management VLAN identifier.

4.6 Configure the SNMP communities


To allow 5520AMS access

4.7 Configure the management IP

4.8 Disable RSTP & LA

4.9 Plan Equipment


Configure LT cards in the system.

4.10 Save the configuration

5 VoIP Part:

6. CDE profile part


1. Run 3cdaemon.exe, put official CDE file to the default path.
2. Set your PC IP to 192.168.2.x
3. Open a CLI session to ISAM by telnet.
CLI commands:
# admin software-mngt cdeprof download 192.168.2.x:MSR2SC41.003
Wait for transfer completed, then
# admin software-mngt cdeprof activate MSR2SC41.003

7. XDSL part
7.1 NALT-E configuration:
