right password.

Press “RIGHT FUNCTION ARROW“ to move into the TRAVERSING SETTINGS page (A).

Set the ENABLE CONVEYOR = Y to enable the comunication between the Z5000 and
the Traversing System.
Place the cursor at the TRAVERSING TYPE and press “LEFT ARROW“ or “RIGHT AR-
ROW“ to change the value depending on the traversing used.

8 CONTROL BOX

The conrol box has the task to connect the Z5000 system (or systems) to the traversing
system.
The logic board inside is connected to the engine used for the translation.

On that board are also fuses as protection on the motors power: when there is no volta-
ge, check the fuses; if they are broken, replace them with new equivalent fuses: 4A 220V
retarded.

In order to enter inside the control box, when the system is off and not connected to the
power supply, open the cover by unscrewing the four screws placed on the corners.

ATTENTION!
Before opening the control box, be sure the system is off and not connected to the
power supply.

ATTENZIONE!
This traversing system only works with 220V power supply.

9 CONNECTIONS

Connect the control box to the Z5000 with the five cable as equipment:

cable 1 : 18 pin female-female for the alarms connections (ALARMS)

cable 2 : 18 pin male-male for the bcd connections (BCD)

cable 3 : 9 pin female-female the motor B connections (SERIAL)

cable 4 : 5 pin male-male for the photocell connections (SENSOR)

1 - 10 interrupts the cycle and let the motors free. The display shows the
message H
1 - 11 reactivates the motors after a interruption for emergency
1 - 12 moves the motors (and the printhead) in the start position after an interrup
tion and a rearment. The display shows the message I

In order to feed the traversing system, connect the power cable to the connector 6

10 SYSTEM RESET

After an interruption due to an alarm, a system switching-off or a new configuration sending,

initialize the traversing system with this comands sequence:

11 START UP

After switching the Z5000 system, connect the traversing system to the electrical power:
now it’s fed but not operational and a red light on the motor indicate its state.

Press ENABLE MOTOR on the button panel in order to lead voltage to the motor: the light
on it will become blue.

Press the lever RESET in “on” position in order to initialize the traversing system: the gui-
de will move toward the stroke limit micro of the neutral side and it will stop in the starting
position. The display will show the screen I. Place the lever RESET in “off” position.

Press START to inizialize the translation according to the parameters set on the Z5000
system.

ATTENTION!
In case of emergency, press the red EMERGENCY button in order to switch off the
engine and stop its running.

11.1 Reset
After an interruption due to an alarm, a system switching-off or a new configuration sending,
it’s necessary to initialize again the traversing system by pressing ENABLE, RESET and
START in this order (see paragraph 11).
