= & iL JOINT RESOLUTION No. 01-2018 Rule 20.01 of Canon 20 of the Code of Professional Responsibility es the various factors in determining the attorney's fees; WHEREAS, one of the factors thereof as provided in paragraph (0) is the customary charges for similar services and the schedule of fees of the IBP chapters to which the lawyer belongs: WHEREAS, Soction 14 of the Chapter By-Laws of the I8P provides that the chapter may adopt such rules and regulations, as it shall see fit, including minimum, attorney's fees schedule; WHEREAS, it has been six (6) years since both chapters have last fixed the minimum atiornoy's fees schedule WHEREAS, in view of the continuous increase in fuel prices, haste commodities, and other expenses thereby adversely affecting the corresponding office maintenance an ‘other related! expenses in rendering legal services, both the IBP Cebu City and Cebj Province Chapters feel the need to update the Minimum Attorney's Fees Sch Published in the year 2012, and to accordingly rename it as the 2018 Sta Minimum Attorney's Fees Schedule: RESOLVE AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the 1BP Cebu City and Cebu Chapters, by unanimous vote of all the officers and directors of the said chap hereby adopt the following: ‘2010 STANDARD MINIMUM ATTORNEY'S FEES SCHEDULE L Consultation and Retainership 1. Acceptance Fees A written contract shall control the amount to be pad for legal services (See. 24, Rule 738 Revised Rutes of Court).
