17. A wine distiller produces wine in a process that consists of n stages. At each stage one faces
the decision of whether to sell the yield from that stage or purify it further. Revenue derived from
a vat of wine sold after the nth stage is 250n. The cost of passing through stage n is 4n2.
(a)Through how many stages should the wine be passed in order to maximize profit?
(b)What is the maximum profit?
Important : The number of stages must be treated as a discrete variable.

 Fungsi Profit
𝑃(𝑛) = 𝑅(𝑛) − 𝐶(𝑛)
𝑃(𝑛) = 250𝑛 − 4𝑛2
𝑃(𝑛) = −4𝑛2 + 250𝑛
