FAN FAILURE & TEMPERATURE DETECT UNIT WITH AC

POWER SUPPLY

General Specifications:

Fan Failure detect unit is an alarm gadget. A Unique Ana-Digi Circuit which is
designed and developed with a reputed Institution and evaluated and approved.

This unit monitors the AC Fans in marshalling cabinets. It detects,

1) Initial Struck (Power ON Struck)

2) Open Circuitry (both Fan winding open or Fan interface open)
3) Running Struck (due to Mechanical jam or dust / mist accumulation)
4) Short Circuit (winding / lead wire)
5) High Voltage (AC above 270V)

Any of the above fault occurs, an oring Relay contacts changes its position and
gives the potential free contact output (COM, NO, NC) which can connect to PLC /DCS.
At the Same time individual relay contact is disconnect the power to the Load (Fan).
Hence it’s Protects any Electrical hazards.

nandi FFDU unique module will take care 4”, 6” and 8” Fan. It construction is
Universal for adjusting the (setting the Load Current) different Load by adjusting the
front panel Potentiometer.

The front end LED’s indicate over Current-Set Limit, Fan running and Power
Indication.

The Unit Consists of

• Power Supply Module (SMPS type)

• Fan Control Channel Module
• Temperature indicator / controller Module (Option)

All the above modules plugged on to the mother board which is fitted in a rack.Each
Module can be inserted to slot and configured either for 4”, 6” &and 8”.

If any one channel fault occurred to cross verification depress “RESET Switch”. If
problem persist replace the Faulty module “ON-Line” without disturbing adjacent
channel and disconnecting Load wires.

Temperature Sensor : RTD PT 100 Sensor.

Temperature Measurement : 0 to 70’C

Temperature Set : Through Push Button & Variable Potentiometer.

Display : 2 Display 0.3”

Output : 4-20mA

Fault O/P : Potential free contact o/p, if the actual temperature

exceeds the set point

Mounting : Din Rail Mounting.
